The Seven Spirits of God

A soul is a body with a spirit. A body without a spirit is dead. Spirit is the nature of a person, place, or thing. Both body and spirit cease to exist as a life force until they are called back into being by God. Every little thing about us is recorded before we die.

Saying that a place or thing has a spirit is obviously wrong. Lacking sophistication; ancient people would use that term to describe things they did not understand.
I have no real assurance we will get where we need to be.

IMHO
Soul is body
Breath
Mind
Will
Emotions
(No eternal life in heaven - Spirit)

Looking at Adam
Body
Breath alive
Mind will emotions
No Spirit markers (knowledge, wisdom - Adam did not know what to do when Eve offered the forbidden fruit)
No eternal physical life if he did not eat from the tree of life

Eve did not show Spirit markers either.
………

The disciples before Pentecost
Body Breath mind will emotions no eternal physical life.
Natural human ( stony heart, carnal mind). Jesus rebuked their thoughts often.

You must be born again:
This adds the belief in Jesus Christ (His work that gives the ability to live forever in heaven).
And the promise Jesus will baptize in Holy Spirit.
New heart of flesh New mind of Christ

If you do the search for the source of what I said, you find the source of statements.

You missed mentioning that the book of Revelation uses parables. Congregations not churches. Messengers not angels. Lampsticks not candlesticks.

The Seven Spirits before the throne of God are the Seven Congregations.
Note: The Earth is His footstool.
Please show us the parables in Revelation and I will show you they are symbolisms of the literal that is written. Congregation means the body of Christ with He being the head of the body and not a four walled building with a name in front of it, 1Corinthians 12:12; Colossians 1:18.

The word angel comes from the Greek word aggelos, which means messengers. Angels are messengers of God sent to us like the one Jesus sent to John, Rev 1:1, Abraham in Genesis 22:11 as all through the Bible we see God sending His messenger/angels.

Lamp sticks are the same thing as candlesticks, Exodus 25:31-40; Zechariah 4; Rev 1:13; 1:20 just to name a few.

If you want to refuse the scriptures I gave that explicitly shows what the seven spirits are before the throne of God in Isaiah 11:1-2; and Rev 1:4; 5:6 that's up to you. These seven spirits are given to the seven church's in Asia for instruction and discipline like they are given today and up to the time of Christ return on the last day.

How is it that you guys do not know to pay attention to the bold script?
Because your bold script never gave us a list of the seven spirits before the throne of God per Isaiah 11:1-2; Rev 1:4.

the spirit of the LORD, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.

These were given to the seven church's in Asia by the messengers/angels sent from God for instruction, rebuke and chasten found in Rev 2-3. This counsel still stands today within the whole body of Christ.

Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Rev 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

The churches/gatherings/ assemblies receive the spirits.

God works in us to will and do of his good pleasure.
Philippians 2:13 kjv
13. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

We do not take credit for good works. A congregation is not the good. God is the source that gets the credit.

Revelation 3:20

1 Corinthians3:12 kjv
12. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

2 Corinthians 3:1 kjv
1. Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

Philippians 2.12 kjv
12. Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

I really wonder why I am repeating what seems to be the same thing.

We seek to be friends, but not compromise to even get a like (thumbs up).

Metaphors and symbolism, not parables.

Congregations not churches. Messengers not angels. Lampsticks not candlesticks.

The seven spirits of God are the Seven Congregations.
I don't see how that is possible.

Rev 1:4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne,
Rev 1:5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood (ESV)

Clearly, the seven churches are in Asia, to which John is writing. John then gives a greeting to those seven churches from God, from the seven spirits, and from Jesus. Additionally, the seven spirits are "before his throne," not in Asia. The seven spirits of God simply cannot be the seven churches/congregations.

You are reading a parable. God's foot stool is the earth.

Revelation 1:19-20.
“Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later. The mystery of the Seven Stars that you saw in my right hand and of the Seven Golden Lampsticks is this: The Seven Stars are the messengers of the Seven Congregations, and the Seven Lampsticks are the Seven Congregations.

Before the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God.

Truth is made known by reason of the facts.

You are reading a parable.
No, not a parable.

God's foot stool is the earth.
Okay. What is that supposed to show?

Revelation 1:19-20.

Yes, it is, but you haven’t proven your assertions to be true.

You are reading a parable.
A parable is a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson as told by Jesus in the Gospels.

In the book of Revelation many things shown to John are literal where they need to be and symbolic of the literal like hail and fire can be likened unto meteors that fall from the sky and this great mountain burning with fire could be a large asteroid.
