There is a fine balance of the brick and mortar church to the spiritual church (body of christ). God's people who gather in a named house of the LORD. In truth we need them both and its existed in harmony for who knows how long. But something is happening lately. People are falling away from churches and turning more to the digital lifestyle. I had always heard the roman catholic church changed the sabbath to Sunday. But I dont trust anything thats not in the bible no more.
The problem here is 1. you are violating the old testament by not honoring the sabbath. 2. However a christian is made righteous through Christ and is dead to the law. Christ kinda hints to this when he said Mathew 12:8 "For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day."
What is interesting is how better life seems to go if you seriously try to understand and live by the old testament. That too is a balance. The old testament to the new testament. Without the OT you don't truly see how powerful God is and thus you don't fear his wrath. Without the new testament it can kinda get too doom and gloomy.
But how can one be truly saved if they do not come to God in a broken state? God resist the proud and gives grace to the humble. We begin our lives with an innocent heart, that grows dark with age and turning from God. Jesus said if you can't become as little children you can't enter the kingdom of God. That seems to suggest returning to that innocent heart = repentance.
