The Switch To Sunday

those are few and far tween the chassidics are the largest. they are the orthodox jews. karaite? locally I have reformed. Chassidic and one consertive and the consertive can be as luny as the reformed.

True, Messianic synagogues are a small minority or the whole today, but in the first century, Christianity was popular (see Acts 2:47), and there would have been many "Messianic" synagogues.

Why switch to Sunday? Because the wine skin of Saturday was already full of the law and prophets. Christianity is not Judaism; it's new, the fulfillment of the Jewish sabbath for those who know their Messiah, and the beginning of a new week for creation which we celebrate.

possible, its hard to say then. if they were messianic they did so in secret and either way the gentiles weren't told to go there. remember if I was in rome or some land that had no temple. I would have to find some believer that I could worship with. there were areas where women didn't meet in the temple as there wasn't enough men to start one and so they prayed instead and paul came and started a church there. which likely had more gentiles there then jews and thus act 15 would still be read they didn't have to do shabat, or circumcise.

“My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips” (Psalm 89:34).

ok is that covenant only the shabat? what about the other commands upon death. the feasts of tabernacles? the peshac. the priests?

when we take that in context its the entire torah from the torah given to moses at Sinai. and rehashed in Deuteronomy.

Jesus healed on the Sabbath, that is not the same thing.

Jesus is our Sabbath and we rest in Him. There are no holy days under the New Covenant. However, we are not to criticize those who do feasts, keep holy day, etc. If they want to celebrate it in the Lord's name - why not?

We should be resting "in Him" everyday.
This is a discussion about the Sabbath in particular. And I think you're forgetting Mark 2:23-30. Wherein Jesus came into conflict with the Pharisees yet again in matters of rest on the Sabbath.

"The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”

My thing is what about the day ?

lewis, so in your version of shabat. what is to be done?

Jesus didn't do Sunday's
the church didn't exist then, neither did he baptize.

jesus also followed peshac, shavout, sukhot, pentacost, channukah, and all others I didn't mention.the shabat is more then just showing up at church, it means not working, resting. not going out to a restaurant after church and calling that rest while your brother who must work on sunday or Saturday cant rest because you go there.

Catholic Church Admits They Made the Change
http://www.sabbathtruth.com/free-re...6/catholic-church-admits-they-made-the-change
This is a very interesting article
The Lord's Day existed in Scripture long before the Catholic Church came into existence. There were many Bible Christians outside the Catholic Church since the time of the apostles. The apostles and apostolic churches were already meeeting on the "first day of the week" long before there was a pope. And the Eastern Orthodox churches existed long before the Catholic church also. Those who wish to continue with the 7th day find the Catholic Church to be a convenient scapegoat (not that I support the RCC). But truth should be truth.

I am talking about the the Temple day changed to Sunday by the Catholics

The eighth day?
The 8th day is highly significant in Scripture as is the number 8. "The morrow after the sabbath" is the 8th day. It is also "the first day of the week" -- the day set aside for worship, rest, and good works..
