Bible Study The True Location of Golgotha or Calvary

I know this because Apostle Paul compared the Red Heifer altar with the altar of Christ where He was crucified. This implies that Christ was sacrificed on the same place, namely, the highest point in the sedimentary rock area of the Mount of Olives
Please provide the verse where Paul says this and show how he implies what you say he does.

Unfortunately, one cannot witness the exact moment of Christ's death and the tearing of the Temple's curtain at the same time when standing from this location:

Matthew 27: 50
And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. 51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open.

This is because the Skull hill/Garden tomb is located North West of the Temple, while the entrance to the Temple (that allows you to peek at its curtain) is facing East. So one has to be due East of the Temple in order to witness the simultaneous death of Christ and the tearing of the Temple curtain.
There is no reason to believe that in order or Matthew 27:50 to be true that one must have been able to see the curtain being torn. The gospels were written many years after the events and report what was seen by eyewitnesses, as well as any other facts, such as the torn curtain.

I was not saying categorically that Christ's body was cremated. I am simply saying there is a possibility that it was, if we are to take literally what Paul said when he compared Christ's sacrifice with the sacrificial animals whose bodies were burned outside the camp.

Aslo, I am saying that the possibility of Christ's body being cremated may have occurred after He was risen and after he ascended to heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
There is no possibility of Jesus's body being cremated, not before his ascension and most certainly not after. What purpose who cremating his body serve?

I have read the whole Bible from cover to cover several times already since I was still in grade school. And I have read the entire Bible several times still over the years. You yourself admitted that you are newly converted, so maybe, you should be the one listening to me instead of the other way around. :pray
Reading the Bible does not mean that one has understood it.

Your pride is showing and the errors are accumulating. I converted 1-1-90. I began teaching Primaries in 92 when God wanted me to grow up and to be grounded. From that point forward I have taught and preached in Prison and Ch7rh.

You cannot bait me but I do wish you would obey the scriptures you say you know from having read them so often.

You need to, as I needed, fall on your face and beg God for his heart as you seek to understand Him.

I'm praying for you.q

As I mentioned in my original post, apostle Paul compared the altar of Christ with the altar of the Red Heifer, which is sacrificed due East of the Temple, at the Mount of Olives:

Hebrews 13:10 We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat. 11 The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp. 12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. 13 Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. 14 For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.

The altar "from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat" which Paul referred to as the altar of the Christians, is the Red Heifer altar located at the mount of Olives, which is also due East of the Temple.

Middot 2: 4 “All the walls there were high, save only the eastern wall, because the High priest that burns the Red heifer and stands on top of the Mount of Olives should be able to look directly into the entrance of the Sanctuary when the blood is sprinkled.”

Numbers 191 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: 2 “This is a requirement of the law that the Lord has commanded: Tell the Israelites to bring you a red heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke. 3 Give it to Eleazar the priest; it is to be taken outside the camp and slaughtered in his presence.

Leviticus 16:27 The bull and the goat for the sin offerings, whose blood was brought into the Most Holy Place to make atonement, must be taken outside the camp; their hides, flesh and intestines are to be burned up. 28 The man who burns them must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water; afterward he may come into the camp.

Matthew 27:50 And Jesus cried again with a loud voice and gave up His spirit. 51 And at once the curtain of the sanctuary of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; the earth shook and the rocks were split.

Matthew 27:50 But Yeshua, again crying out in a loud voice, yielded up his spirit. 51 At that moment the parokhet in the Temple was ripped in two from top to bottom; and there was an earthquake, with rocks splitting apart.

The only way the gospels can claim that the death of Christ occurred at the same time as the tearing of the Temple curtain is if someone has witnessed it happening at the same time.

Christ did not bring his human body which was sacrificed at Calvary to heaven when He ascended, for "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God".

And Christ's sacrificed body is not allowed to decay either.
Acts 13: 35 So it is also stated elsewhere:“‘You will not let your holy one see decay.’

So either Christ's sacrificed body is still fresh and whole lying somewhere here on earth, or it was turned to ashes or dust by God to avoid people using it as an object of idolatry. Take your pick. The reason why I believe it was turned to ashes or dust, was because the Red Heifer sacrifice was burned to ashes.

Matthew 7:1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

Hmmm. Scripture without Life Application... not useful.

Pray to the Holy Spirit to show you its life application. :pray
You're the self proclaimed teacher here. I have taught the scripture you have just used in the World's wisdom many times, just the way God taught me. You're the one Free and i do not want to go to Hell but you, just, keep on shoveling, son.

Luke 6:39 He also told them this parable: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit? 40 The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher. :pray

LOL, LOL, LOL! Very, very good, you just admitted you know not of what you preach. Tell me, why have you yet to answer the first question either Free or I have asked you? Continuing along this line will ruin your reputation as any sort of a teacher. And then you have abandoned the very intent of your own string, are you lost?

I would recommend for this topic users to read the book The Secrets of Golgotha by Ernest Martin. In it Dr Martin shows that Jesus was crucified atop Mount of Olives, buried, ascended all near the location of the Red Heifer Altar. The Place of the Skull has nothing to do with a NW limestone pareidolia which did not exist prior to the C16th. But it has everything to do with ancient town of nearby Bethphage outside the camp where annual census (head count) were performed for the whole of Israel as recorded in the Book of Numbers. Its amazing what we come to believe based on what we don't know or are not aware of. The town of Bethphage - most immediate town east on the eastern slopes of Olivet also served as secondary location for priests for other towns such including nearby Bethany (Simon the leper whom Jesus visited). In ancient times, as the Talmud does record, that non leprous persons were afraid to be contaminated from winds from the east. Fortunately prevailing winds in the land are from the west which I checked even for today. https://www.windfinder.com/windstatistics/tel_aviv_ben_gurion Lepers were placed outside the camp 2000 cubits away to the east. Leprosy in the Bible was a disease that was shunned and caused separation. For the most part they continued to live normal lives until their death. It is very easy to get confused or assume that lepers lived in a nearby pit of some sort inside the camp when watching Hollywood movies. I don't recall Martin mentioning it but the paradox of the cleansing leper in Leviticus 13:12-13 can only be a type to Christ. In fact in the Old Testaments points to Christ. Lesson of the Day? Don't be a Pharisee - go and hang out with the shunned and the outcasts as Christ did.

Actually the Book of Revelation does point both to the location of Calvary as the future site of the 2 witnesses' death, so I consider this part of studying Biblical prophecy.

I would totally witness to the 'east' location. There are spiritual implications to this particular direction, EAST. When we observe the waters flowing from the temple in Ezekiel's vision, they come from the EAST facing door. It's a long study. But yes, east, assuredly. Ezek. 47:1. Would I consider this "vital" understanding? Perhaps from a spiritual perspective it might have some value. But as to the pinpointed exact geographical location, not so much. There is physical treasure hunting and there is spiritual treasure hunting. They are not the same species.

My video pointed to the sedimentary rock area in the Mount of Olives (which looks like a skullcap) as the "Place of a Skull" or Golgotha (also known as Calvary).

Christ's ascension also took place at the Mount of Olives, and He will return at the same spot where He ascended. Thus Christ was both crucified and ascended at the Mount of Olives:

Acts 1:9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. 10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 "Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

Zechariah 14:1 A day of the Lord is coming, Jerusalem, when your possessions will be plundered and divided up within your very walls. 2 I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. 3 Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights on a day of battle. 4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.

:pray

There are difficulties that arise when getting hung up on geography.

Isaiah 29:
5 Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.
6 Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.
7 And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.

These kinds of statements are not necessarily hard linked to geography. The earthquake/dividing of the earth is also a spiritual matter. Not that I discount geography, but it is a secondary or lesser topic line of understandings.

Here we get a bit of a picture of earthquakes, in the SPIRITUAL senses:

Acts 16:26
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

Are we to look upon all the above as only literal? Nope.

Revelation 11:19
And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Really? All the above happened in a temple, in heaven, in the literal hard senses of the term?

NOPE! These are spiritual matters of understandings. They really have little, if anything to do with geography.
