It is not necessarily a favorite topic of mine, but I am not tip toeing through the TULIPs nor am I debating OSAS. What I am trying to do is talk about something different. Yet it seem you have made up your mind that this scripture concerning the veil was ONLY for Israel. Well for that matter, I might ask you why you think you need salvation through Jesus Christ? After all, His blood sacrifice was to save those that were under the Law, and the Law was given ONLY to Israel. Now I suppose a quick retort to that might result with a comment to the effect that the Law was brought forth for all, not just Israel, in which case I would conclude that the veil continues to this day.
Which leads me to ask this. Earlier in this thread I asked you about a scripture and asked if you thought it to be past or future. You leaned toward the future, as the tense presented in the scripture declared "in that day." And you felt that day had not yet come. Why when you hear the words "in that day" is the expectation of something future, but when it says "even unto this day" it has already past?
I'm just not where you are in your understanding EZ. I love you Brother but my old mind just can't grasp what your wisdom and understanding are putting forward as instruction, I wish I could understand so I could enter in. My simple mind looks at this verse....Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away....and I know I don't have the veil that you're speaking about.
Now, if that Veil is my flesh, or in someway effects my flesh, than I agree totally with your instruction. Tell me how my veiled flesh can be overcome, or can it?
