I've been working through a women's devotional (but it's in Spanish). I am taking notes and have translated some of it here as a good, refreshing way to accept our role as a "godly woman" and see our attractiveness through a godly view. A godly woman embodies virtues that reflect her faith, character, and grace, right? While "sexiness" in a worldly sense often refers to physical allure, in a biblical context, attractiveness is deeper—it includes confidence, dignity, and the beauty that radiates from her spirit. Here are key virtues of a godly woman, including how her attractiveness is portrayed in a biblical light:

1. A Godly Woman is Virtuous and Strong

Proverbs 31:25"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."
A woman’s confidence, rooted in faith, makes her attractive. Her inner strength and grace give her a radiance that is both admirable and alluring.

2. A Godly Woman is Modest Yet Attractive

1 Peter 3:3-4"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."
A godly woman knows her worth isn’t solely in outward beauty but in the glow of her character, which makes her even more appealing.

3. A Godly Woman is Passionate in Love and Marriage

Song of Solomon 4:7"You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you."
Biblical love is not shy about desire within marriage. A godly woman embraces passion within the bounds of a covenant, making her both spiritually and physically captivating.

4. A Godly Woman is Wise and Discerning

Proverbs 14:1"The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down."
Wisdom and discernment add to her beauty. A woman who speaks with grace, kindness, and intelligence exudes an attractive presence.

5. A Godly Woman is Respectful and Submissive (in Strength, Not Weakness)

Ephesians 5:22-23"Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord."
This submission is not about inferiority but about respect and partnership, which enhances the intimacy and harmony of a marriage.

6. A Godly Woman is Loving and Nurturing

Titus 2:4-5"Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God."
A nurturing spirit makes a woman deeply attractive, as she pours love into her family and community. No scorn, no anger, no bitterness, and no jealousy. Just love and grace and beauty.

7. A Godly Woman Fears the Lord

Proverbs 31:30"Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."
True beauty lasts when it is rooted in faith. A woman who walks with God shines with an everlasting allure. In part I have returned to this forum to continue to humble myself before the men of God of this world and learn from you all as a servant, a student, a woman who is learning new things everyday about our God and Savior. I have much to learn. Thank you. -Julia

Thank you for this as beauty is in the eyes of the beholder by that of the character found within one and not the adoring outward appearance.

This is a dream/vision I had after my fall from grace and God was restoring me. I told this dream to my husband (but in Spanish) as it came from the Lord. I had a friend who is a writer help me translate it into English. He is really good with words. I think the dream gives an illustration of godly femininity and the romantic godly love a bride is to have for her husband based on Song of Songs:

I stand beneath the branches of a great fig tree, its fruit swollen, dripping nectar onto my bare shoulders. The night is warm, the air thick with the perfume of jasmine and myrrh. I hear his voice before I see him—low, rich, like the rolling thunder before the rain.
"His left hand is under my head, and his right hand embraces me." (Song of Solomon 2:6)
He steps into the moonlight, his form like the bronze of the temple pillars, his gaze dark and knowing. He calls me by a name I did not know I possessed, something ancient, something meant only for my ears. My breath stills as he reaches for me, fingers grazing the slope of my neck, the curve of my shoulder. My body is as the earth before the first rain—thirsting, waiting.
"You have captivated my heart, my sister, my bride; you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes." (Song of Solomon 4:9)
He lays me upon the soft grass, the fragrance of crushed pomegranates filling the air. His lips trace the lines of my longing, his breath warm like the desert wind that stirs the dunes. My fingers, trembling, seek the firmness of his form, the shape of something divine made flesh. I feel the weight of history in this embrace, the passion of lovers who have long since turned to dust, yet still whisper their secrets in the pages of holy writ.
"Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is better than wine." (Song of Solomon 1:2)
The heavens seem to tilt, stars spilling like scattered pearls across the sky as I yield to him, as I am filled with the knowledge of something beyond hunger, beyond pleasure—a consuming fire, a holy ache.
And when I wake, the taste of honey lingers on my lips, the echo of his name still trembling in my throat.

This is truly a longing loving relationship between Jesus and His Bride in such an intimate way of loving and caring for those He laid His life down so we may now have life in Him. Very beautiful.
