[ Testimony ] Victory!

HI!
When I was a teenager I would have scoffed at the word victory...or the word grace...mercy. It all seemed like a club I didn't belong. I always knew that there was something special about the Bible and Jesus Christ so I hung in there and came to the point in my life where I needed to start submitting myself and conforming myself to the "club of God" I have struggled with mental illness which later would be explained to me as mental 'demonic illness'. I wrote a book about it all, including why I tried to take my life in the fall of 2012 by jumping off a cliff. I was at the bottom of the canyon for two and a half days before a rescue team found me.
Since then I have never seen myself so happy... I have truly found prosperity on the inside through Christ.
My testimony is weightier than just this so please if you pick up a copy of my novel I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

What testimonies are you creating now? Glad you made it as a teen, but that is where the path started. More interested in the work after you woke up.

Hey Mike, Well out of high school on recommendation by my parents, I was put into a mental institute. So I kind of allowed myself to go crazy until one night some years later I started to hear voices. About four years after enduring voices I heard the voice that would lead me out of captivity. The voice was different then the ones I was use to and it said very plainly and clearly.."Colin...I made you! and I Love you! You can imagine how thrilled I was! Jesus had finally come to claim me. I'll never be the same! I still hear voices, some from Satan and some from the Lord! It's so amazing to have such a unique relationship with God. I'm interested in hearing of anyone else who has had voices or visions!

The Lord is certainly amazing and faithful. Pretty awesome story, I have no issues with visions and things that may seem supernatural. I have a scar on my nose from a stupid devil, they can be real butt heads.

From what the Lord has taught you. What could you do to help others who have voices, things that go bump in the night, having to take lots of mind destroying medication to stop the voices. I have run into this a lot, but I am convinced that mental illness starts when a persons allows the wrong things to play over and over in their head, and not cast down every thought, imagination, and thing, bringing into subject to the Lord Jesus and the eternal Word of God. Some don't agree, they think it's all chemical imbalances and we need to destroy a persons brain organ with medication, or even worse things.

What they don't get is that it's the soul of a person that connects to the brain, and all medication does is shut off parts of the brain the soul can't access.

Anyway, thank you for joining, I think if you keep around, you will find folks asking for prayer that are going through what you have gone through. If your grounded in the Word, You might be able to help some folks get free of things.

Be blessed.

Thanks Mike! I'm in the midst of finding out what God wants for me. I'm starting to realize that whatever it is, it needs to involve other like-minded-Chirstians. I think that illness in the soul comes simply from discipline from God. I've done some things that would make me the Saul-Paul of today. I firmly disagree with people who say that we aren't disciplined. Paul said it himself, he's had to learn a hard lesson for his actions. I think people are a little confused when they think that because of Jesus we aren't punished or disciplined for our sin. I have learned that forgiveness comes alongside a "whip!" What do you think about this?

Hi Christempowered- I too take medicine. I've recently decided to start praying for the medicine to do it's job.
Have you heard about the story of the man who was stranded at sea? The man was stranded and praying to God for him to bring him back to mainland. The a boat showed up and said, "man" I help you! The man said no thanks! I'm praying and waiting for God. Then another boat came and another saying the same thing. Then finally God called down to the man and said why aren't you at the mainland?
The man felt puzzled. Then the Lord said, I sent you three boats!
Anyways I know the thought of medicine can be so scary and so insulting but it doesn't hurt to go with the flow of the health system and pray for the meds. The Lord might even take those meds and bless you with them!

Well, the curse of the Law, disobedience to God brought sickness,Mental confusion, astonishment of heart, poverty, mold, loss of family, loss of wife. (Deut 28) God is not punishing with these tools of hell, as the end result was "until thou be destoryed"

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
(1Co 11:29)

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
(1Co 11:30-32)

If the Lord has to actually step in and judge, that's a bad thing, and often results in death so we are not condemned with the World. This is someone who would not judge themselves, not repent, not try to get things right.

We don't want to be in that shape, but still, not being condemned with the World beats hell any day.
The whole object here is "Not Discerning" These folks had light to discern, and were Judged by the violation of Light given them.

Someone with little light, living in sin, then by default that gives place to the devil. This is not God discipline, and I have known some folks just blow it one time, and end up dying for it. With the devil, anything goes, anything can happen, and if they repent and pull out, they ought to be thankful for the Mercy of the Lord.

God is not making sick of soul, or making us physically sick. If God is bringing us out, and we are created for his Workmanship, to do his will, then God wants us healthy and ready to serve him. God is not going to cause something that would hinder us from His own plans for us.

Now voices do show up, sometimes even angles, saying...... God wants you sick, God wants to show you what it feels like if you don't obey.

Had a devil show up when my son had terminal cancer and tell me. It's not always the Lord's will to heal everyone.

This is why we have to be firmly grounded in the Word, Not moving. Lot's of voices in this World, the Word is our only anchor as it divides what is our soul, from what is in our born again spirit. (Heb 4:12)

I would seriously get to finding out what the Lord would have you do, and don't put stipulation on having to be with Like-Minded folk. If your wrong, and the group of like minded folk are wrong, then it just stays all wrong. If your right, then the group that is wrong don't get help, and we don't tell the Lord how we obey, we get direction, and we go that direction by faith, it don't have to even make sense.

Blessings, thank you for sharing.

Mike
