Well, church..

So. Hi again, I just downloaded tapatalk 2 so I plan on being more active! Easier said than done...but back to the topic.

My church, filled with old people and not really anyone from my age group ever since the new youth leader started inviting elementary school students. I started to slow when it came to activity in the youth group and when work took over it completely ended. Now I never go to youth group and I only go to church sometimes, lately I've felt as I don't belong. But anyways I was wanting your opinions in this. I don't feel like I'm a horrible person for not going to church and surely not youth group but I feel as if I might be letting God down :sad I'm so lost right now. If adults have thoughts and you can't post you can message me, I receive notifications now.

Is there a Christian club/fellowship at your school you could join? Or maybe you could go to youth group at another church? I know quite a few people who go do a different church, but goes to my church for youth group because they have friends here or because they like it better than the youth group at their church.

Yeah, that's a good Idea. There are one or two other groups...ill ask around. As to my school it's mainly Mormon. So no not many groups. Thanks for the reply :)

How's it going?

I think you should be attending something, whether it be your local church, another church or a school group.

Fellowship is important, so attending some gathering of believers should be weighing on your heart. I'm sure you have noticed that living a Christian life is easier the more you hear others speak of their successes and failures. God planned that for a reason. Haven't you started college? If that is the case, I would encourage you to seek out more mature discussions with-in the church. Worship is not supposed to be age driven.

I agree. And no I haven't started college. I'm still in high school. :/ thanks for your reply that really means alot I needed to hear that!

So college isn't far away then, is it?

The same still applies. When I was a student in high school, I didn't participate in my youth group very much at all. I did participate in a small group where the majority of those attending had kids my age or better. I still cherish the growth I had during those years.

Hello there,
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to the forum. I currently have the same issue as you do after I moved. Just trust that God will provide!

Still have senior year to go but hopefully it's soon. Sorry for the delay I'm never on the online version so I don't see notifications.

I don't really feel like I fit in in any church here so far, this Sunday I'll be going to a new one where all of my friends go to, finally managed to get transport to it.

What I usually do, is when my mom and brother go to church together, I just get in my room, close my door, turn a playlist of music on a bit loud, and then just worship and then read the bible and then pray, and then worship again. I love having just that moment once a week, just being alone with God in his presence.
