this is what I think about demons, are they real- very much so.
Is there a demon under every doily- no.
something that concerns me greatly is Christians misunderstanding of demons.
Superstition is the biggest issue.

Look at this-
Matthew 10:1
And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.
it seems to me in the bible talk of unclean spirits usually seems to have reference to associated ailments.
To my way of thinking and the understanding of the people back then maybe "unclean spirit might have been a generic term for unexplainable physical ailment. How else would someone describe epilepsy back then? I believe what Jesus gave them the power to do was drive out sickness and demons but not every time it was demonic..or we are ll demon possessed!.. and everyone we know is.
when Jesus drove out a demon it was said as such
Matthew 10
Jesus Restores Two Demon-Possessed Men

They were so violent that no one could pass that way. 29 “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” 30 Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31 The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”

I think a lot of Christians have been tricked into conjuring great armies of formidable demons in their minds that probably don't exist. At least not to the extent imagined.
A christian CANNNOT be possessed by a demon.

"The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself!"-Franklin D Roosevelt.
All I have to say on that sorry it was so long.
ps. i think there are a lot of urban myths surrounding demons circulating in our christian culture...I am not convinced it all is true.
Surely every other thing in life cant be demon possessed lol! I think its a crock of it!
Try asking the next person who clams something is demon possessed for their references and research of how they arrived at that conclusion and proof of the possession. It iss all cool to say it but you at least must be sure of that claim and not be regurgitating unfounded myths.
