God has force, and logic which are the only finite attributes I can think of that he could give man. So I do correct myself.
That’s all? What about love, justice, morality, creativity, aesthetics, socially, spiritually?God has force, and logic which are the only finite attributes I can think of that he could give man. So I do correct myself.
It is all under logic. That’s all? What about love, justice, morality, creativity, aesthetics, socially, spiritually?
While God's force is not finite, he gives it to the created universe. There is an image of God which is not always God himself in man.Agreed on logic.
What do you mean by force?
How so? Logic is our ability to use reasoning. What does that have to do with any of the attributes I gave? Is the ability to do good and know good fromIt is all under logic.
Logic can determine what is moral. The way force is used determines if our actions are good. Spirit is the force of the being or individual. How so? Logic is our ability to use reasoning. What does that have to do with any of the attributes I gave? Is the ability to do good and know good from
evil just a case of logic? Is love really just a matter of logic? Aesthetics?
John says the God is spirit. Does that just mean God is logic?
It can? You’re fallaciously begging the question.Logic can determine what is moral.
What, exactly, does that have to do with logic? And intentions don't matter? The way force is used determines if our actions are good.
So, is God “the force” of himself? How does that work?Spirit is the force of the being or individual.
Logic is a system of reasoning.Logic can determine what is moral. The way force is used determines if our actions are good. Spirit is the force of the being or individual.
It would seem that God has emotions like love, anger, jealousy and we see this on the polluted human scale within ourselves, but we also can see this in animals so could it be that His attributes are reflected in all his living creation? At least the more complex ones?We could start by saying that man was made in the image of God.
Does this mean we look like God physically?
Most probably not, although we could not know for sure.
Genesis 1:26-27
So, apparently, God has attributes that He passed on to us.
I'll state the most obvious...Love.
A God that John claims not only HAS love but IS love, , , has passed this love quality on to us.
1 John 4:8
We all desire to love and be loved.
Life feels void without this quality.
This is a great thread. God created our bodies and it says he sees, hears, smells, has hands, ect. so we know in ways we're like him.We could start by saying that man was made in the image of God.

I understand. While God's force is not finite, he gives it to the created universe. There is an image of God which is not always God himself in man.
Some are but the big difference is that man has a conscience. It would seem that God has emotions like love, anger, jealousy and we see this on the polluted human scale within ourselves, but we also can see this in animals so could it be that His attributes are reflected in all his living creation? At least the more complex ones?
Right. God gave us other attributes He has too. This is a great thread. God created our bodies and it says he sees, hears, smells, has hands, ect. so we know in ways we're like him.
But I think you're right wondering that God put heavenly senses like his love and compassion in the hearts of everyone born into this world. Paul said people who forgot to honor God became dark in their thinking. They became without "natural affection." Children have affection naturally. Jesus said become like them.
Logic can determine what is moral ONLY when we're taught God's laws and are living in those laws.Logic can determine what is moral. The way force is used determines if our actions are good. Spirit is the force of the being or individual.
I know you're right. I grew up seeing Godly attributes even in people who were avowed atheists. Traits such as mercy and hope for good things.Right. God gave us other attributes He has too.
What about FAMILY?
God has a "family".
Father, Son, Holy Spirit
Plus, He decided to make us and to allow us to become part of His family.
A family has the same goals, they share their responsibilities, their affectionate toward each other,
they keep each other informed of what's going on with each member.
This is what the Trinity does.
And man has the desire to create more persons like himself,
to make a family for himself and to dedicate his life to that family.
God put these needs in us for a reason.
