What Are You Cooking ?

Some family had work today, we're celebrating tomorrow.

I think that I better throw the rest of the ham out, because it is almost Thursday again

Who's cooking for the New Year' and if so what ?

I will be cooking for the new year. Mostly it will be lamb, chicken, fish and beef, just like last year.

Made turkey and dumplings a couple days ago the bird has flown away..

I like a good sandwich roll grilled with real butter til the edges are a crunchy mayo and crandberry turkey sandwich... and not deli turkey the real bird

I had the rack of lamb tonight that I was going to have for New Year's, but was too tired to cook.

Today I am making a big pot of Lentil bean soup using the ham bone from the ham we had New Years. The house sure smells good :biggrin2

Today was some gumbo.... most likely not quite like it really should be sausage and shrimp are never bad... :) no left over chicken this time.

It is simple today, stewed chicken spinach sweet potatoes and stewed turkey chops, and that is it. Oh and also 2 cloves of uncooked garlic which I eat raw, come smell my fragrant very good smelling breath:eek2

Fresh garlic is extremely good for you.Very healthy.I love the smell of fresh cut garlic.

I think that I should cut way down on the fried chicken, the only safe way to fry, is to pull the skin off and fry it in Olive Oil. Which I have stopped doing in the last few months.

Mmmm. Just finished a little while ago some of what my ex wife used to call "North Dakota Chicken" (because we had it in a North Dakota restaurant but neither of us could remember what they called it.) It's a skinless breast, butterflied and fried in olive oil with a little grated cheddar cheese melted on top, all topped off with sauteed onions. Some green beans on the side to finish it off.
