Though it is definitely true that our digestive systems aren't as equipped to take on raw meat as a carnivore's. My dog and cat are designed to eat raw meat, and I include it in their diet whenever possible. But I'm an omnivore, and if I ate the stuff they did I'd get sick. (<cover my butt>Oh, don't feed your pet raw meat without doing your research. And be sure to use common sense.</cover my butt>)
Meat from the grocery store isn't going to be safe to consume raw, especially as processed and when the equipment isn't exactly sanitary. So, sushi from the grocery store probably isn't safe, either.

Yeah, carnivores have a higher acidity in their stomach. Their digestive tracts are designed to kill harmful bacteria.
That is not to say that parasites are not a concern. But that's not too hard to avoid unless you're feeding wild meat. When I was learning to feed my dog a raw diet, I was told that if I did feed wild meat I need to freeze it for a couple months first. Certain meats are to be avoided altogether, and wild pork is considered a definite no, if I recall.
I can't say I'm one to put down the health care industry, but having fed three animals a completely to partially raw diet for an extended amount of time, I can say they have benefited from this health-wise. And as much as the veterinary industry cautions against a raw diet, my vet told me after I let her know that I began feeding Treader raw that he's obviously healthy and to keep doing it.
Well, enough with my rambling. lol A few years ago, my pets were my entire life, and this included the diet choices I made for them.

I meant the regular kind of french fries. The sweet potatoes aren't bad, but I like the others better.

I have some frozen blueberries left over from making the Thanksgiving blueberry pie, so I bought another pie crust and made another one. it's in the oven right now.
I couldn't help it and picked up a box of devils food cake mix too for a cake. and some extra cocoa powder to make it even more chocolaty, mmmm. Oh and some of that coconut pecan frosting like they put on German Chocolate cakes. I like coconut. I should've gotten chocolate chips too, or even some chocolate pudding! Aww! I bet that would be good!

My favorite meat so far has been elk, I got one with my brother 2 years ago.
Our wild game meat store carries it, but it's around $15-19 per lb.

I've never connected with an Elk, but was there when my son did, and Elk meat is my favorite too. It makes great Jerky. He nailed him with a single shot at about 80 yards, with a 308 Win., handload of mine.
