Never Surrender, by Skillet
Guess I'm on a Skillet kick tonight. And I actually like sad-ish songs like this, for some reason.

This one isn't a Christian song, I just happen to like it.
Kinda how I feel about the world, it's not a nice place...a part of me just wants to live in my own little corner and forget about how screwed up everything is. But that won't do any good.

When can I see you again?, by Owl City
Normally I try to be sure I know what meaning the songs I listen to have, so I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I'm not sure. It's supposed to be the song used for the movie Wreck It Ralph, I believe.questdriven:
What's the song about?
Yeah. I like a lot of genres, but Christian heavy metal/hard rock is one of my favorites.questdriven:
Anyway, I think you said you do like the old hymns.
But Christian heavy metal kind of does something for you as well, right?
Blessings.
Yeah. I like a lot of genres, but Christian heavy metal/hard rock is one of my favorites.
I guess so, yeah. Sounds about right.questdriven:
Yes, well I expect it's the really loud rhythms and the rising, controlled screams that make you feel like you belong to the heavy metal scene, especially if there is a Christian message there, right?
