What happens when you don't pray in the spirit?

It is really tough to work our way through these scriptures with passion. Total flesh perfection awaits the last trump. The mind understands, and the flesh wants to exalt itself.

Galatians 5:17 KJV
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

As a Mississippi redneck I just go ahead and try and look at the whole picture. It would only take multiple books to work through the tongue issues.

One reason being your statement.

I do not like to place myself on that high pedestal beside those false teachers who teach this unbiblical doctrine."

I tend to agree with you on this level. We are changed to the highest level when we enter heaven, and not when we speak in tongues. Said another way: If we think we have arrived, then we are actually saying we are post judgement (past the throne judgement and the book of life). And thus: we are past the resurrection. We are all working out our salvation with fear and trembling (or at least supposed to be).

I have been guilty of some of the things discussed here, but I learn all the time and believe the Holy Spirit leads into all truth (if we are open).

Other areas can cause problems. The word became flesh: Jesus.

If I did not say anything, ask it another way. We feed all levels of folks. Maybe I am so low as to not understand. LOL.
