What Is Baptism?

Ok firstly you said I'm sorry if you feel toward me, you do not need to feel angry at me. The reason why am angry at you is because I feel you are wrong .

You have not asked my why I feel angry, the reason I feel angry is because you have dissed genuine loving people who have been baptised and in doing so the words said as they were baptised "I baptise you in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit"

To you that is false baptism and they need to be re-baptised and unless they are they are not saved.

Ok I apologise for my expression of anger and yes I agree maybe I should have approached it better.

Jesus will never turn away anyone who seeks him baptised or not.

I just see it like this. The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are all One. They are all one in harmony. And for us to have the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit as we cannot have one without the other, and there is only One path and One name that is above all names where one can be saved and that name is Jesus.

So although I think water baptism should be in the name of Jesus, anyone who calls on his name is equally saved. So anyone who truely believes in him is saved.

Is you a works based salvation believer?
I'm a scripture based believer.
I believe the scripture is the word of God.
I believe Jesus meant what he said when He said:
If you love Me, keep My commandments." (Jhn 14:15)

I believe Jesus meant what he said when He said:
… the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—
those who have done good, to the resurrection of life
,
and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
(John 5:28-29 NKJV)

I believe that Paul was correct when he said:
(God) will render to each one according to his deeds;
eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;
but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil,
of the Jew first and also of the Greek;
but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good,
to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

(Ro 2:6-10 NKJV)

How about you?

Have you read those scriptures?

Do you believe them?

So am I, I am not the fool you believe I am.

Neither does refusing to obey Jesus save.
Jesus said to be baptized.
Do you have a problem with obeying Jesus?
I have been baptised because I love Jesus, I also want to be like Jesus. Not because if I do then I will be saved but because I am saved and want to be like him.

What about you?

No one needs to be baptised to be saved

This is what is needed to be saved

Romans 10:9-13
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

I don't refute them you seem to say that you need to be baptised to be saved. That is what I refute.

Maybe I have not understood. If so please correct me
Jesus commanded baptism for all believers.
If Jesus is my Lord then I need to obey Him.
He who believes in the Son has eternal life;
he who does not obey the Son shall not see life
,
but the wrath of God rests upon him.
(John 3:36)
What don't you understand about that.

Jesus said that he would judge according to what we DO, not what we believe.
What don't you understand about that?

The scripture says your faith without works is dead and cannot save you. (James 2)
What don't you understand about that?

Jesus is the gate, he is the only way to recieve the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. You cannot recieve the Holy Spirit being baptised into the Father, or recieve the Son being baptised in the Holy Spirit, but the only way is to be baptised in the Son. He is the only opening to recieve God, that is, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

No one baptised in the name of the Father, or, baptised in the name of the Holy Spirit, but they did baptise in the name of the Son.

Then you need to explain why Jesus was mistaken when he said to baptize in the NAME of the Father AND of the Son AND of the Holy Spirit.

So far, you have not dealt with the command of Jesus.

Hey, when all has been said and done, both titles, "In Jesus' Name" or "In the Name of the Father, Son & Holy Ghost will Scripturally Baptize any individual by immersion. To pick either one as the only Scriptural method is simply wrong and very prideful. This statement by Dan is extremely offensive, and I fear dangerous spiritually....

Maybe I made a mistake and either baptism is ok. So i cannot change what i have said but i will change my thinking and people know i now change what i said. Maybe I went off path a bit so i change what i said about it being false to now either or baptism is ok. In Jesus or the Father the Son and the Spirit.

Belief and a good conscience towards God.

When do we see the apostles baptizing in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost?

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Oh Peter, can this be right?), and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Why not in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost?)
Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. (Has Jesus indeed taken that power at this time? Has He even received His own throne as we read of in Rev 4:2?)
1 Pet 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. (If Jesus has taken that all power, why are the nations ruling in usurpation at this time? but there is coming a time, and it's called the Lord's Day, in the Day of the Lord, and extending into Jacob's Trouble: a time of trouble this present world has not experienced, or ever will again..)

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. (When are the nations to be taught, and who will be the head of the nations to take the word?)

Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, . . .

1 Pet 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: (How is this going to save us from the second death if it doesn’t cleanse us from the filth of the flesh?)
