WHAT MAKES A GOOD MARRIAGE?

I was going to post this in the Ladies Locker Room, but thought a man's perspective is also necessary since they contribute 50% to the marriage.

How about reverence on one side and unconditional love on the other side?

Which side?

Does unconditional love exist?

What makes a good marriage?
For real, I would add being a good communicator—quick to listen, slow to speak.

She knows we're just having a little fun .... if she thinks differently, I will apologize.
Why should you not be apologizing to all of us?
You two can have a private chat in jest or a public one with all seriousness.

Do what I did. See what the parents are like. The gal you're dating probably be much like them seeing she had been trained by them for 20ish years. Single parent household ... sorry, but that 1 strike. (see stats comparison of kids brought up in single parent house hold compared to brought up with 2 parents.)

Watch out if she has a lot of debt. How good is she with money. Anecdote: I was at work and guy gets off the phone and says: "that was the bank ... the wife has topped up the credit care". I was sympathetic and said: "Yikes, that's bad". He says: "No, that's good ... she can't spend any more".

That's the nice thing about wondering living in Italy .... we get the last say due to her being 8 or so hrs ahead. :dancing:dunce

Aside: Wondering is a knowledgeable, sweet, loving person (in case someone thinks I'm trolling her I had to put that in)
