Let me show you that your first point is not correct. No sir.
- When Jesus returns, every eye will see Him, at His coming.
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. Revelation 1:7
“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. Zechariah 12:10
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:29-31
gather together His elect = Resurrection and Rapture
- At His coming, He will put an end to all other kingdoms rule and authority.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
1 Corinthians 15:22-24
- At His coming He will destroy the antichrist.
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:8
- At His coming He will gather His people at the resurrection and rapture.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:15
- At His coming He will will come with the saints and armies from heaven.
Thus the Lord my God will come, and all the saints with You.
Zechariah 14:5
Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
Revelation 19:11-14
JLB
In the following passage we see the Lord COMING with fire to render his anger and fury. The language is remarkable similar to 2 Thess 1 where the Lord is said to be coming with "flames of fire to render vengeance". 2 Thess 1 is a passage about our rapture when the Lord shall give us rest from our enemies and taking vengeance on them. This same thought is rendered inn Luke 17 where God's vengeance will fall the same day that Jesus is revealed from heaven. Being that it is a passage about the coming of the Lord at the rapture, read now the rest of the Isaiah 66 text that I provided. It says that he will send 'those that escape' UNTO those that have not heard of my fame NOR seen my GLORY. When the Olivet Discourse speaks of every eye seeing him, it is referring only to the those of the 12 tribes who were in Jerusalem at the time that the Lord comes in "flames of fire".
*[[Mat 24:30]] KJV* And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the TRIBES of the earth MOURN, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.sa 66:15-20 KJVLite For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD. For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. And I will set a sign among them,
and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that HAVE NOT HEARD my FAME, NEITHER have SEEN my GLORY;
and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
2Th 1:7-10 KJVLite And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
AND WHY ARE THE ESCAPEES SENT INTO ALL OF THE EARTH AND THE ISLES OF THE SEA?
... 'to bring all your brethren... unto the Lord... to my holy mountain, Jerusalem!
This is the gathering of the elect from the 4 winds. Also found in Isa 11:
Verse list:
Isa 11:10-12 KJVLite And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
As you should know, the endtimes context of Isa 66, and the travailing woman, is found in Rev 12. There we also see that Christ, the man child, is caught up (harpazoed) to heaven. The body of Christ is the church.
Be Blessed!
