$$$ What would you do if you won the lottery? $$$

Now I know many of you want to post some glorious deeds in here. How you would wisely spend this money. How you would be good stewards and all, but none of that! Unless or until you first tell of the crazy thing you would do.

Me? when I was a kid I loved playing with Tonka Trucks. I had them all, and every day I'd be working on my on going construction site in the back yard. If I won the lottery, I'd have myself a real one. 10 acres or so of dirt. Bull-dowsers, diggers and dump trucks. I have a blast. :)

You?

Well, I'd probably donate at least 10% to the chruch or a worthy cause like the Salvation Army, and as for the rest? I'd consider buying a good libray of books and clean video games, but before I did that I would reserve some of the money to put toward getting some books published. Grow my estates that way.

Of corse if I hadn't compleated the project beforehand and the sum of the money was rather large, (Persay about $25,000+), I'd convert my storage room into a living quater and add a secound stroy to the building. I might also make an underground house that is safe form tornados and strong winds.

What would i do?

Hire out the plumbing/electric project that is coming up instead of doing it myself...Build mom a bigger kitchen...Pay off the mortgage...

Too old for more toys... I love my Polaris quad. God has blessed me with the whole desert to ride in.:yes

Christmas about 1967. We were pretty broke John cleaned up Jr.s Tonkas. Fresh paint all the stuff....He got one new one........

danus on a track hoe.:lol

:lol I can plow up some ground brother.
Here is a secret about ol'Danus. I drove an 18 wheeler in my younger days for 3 years all over God's country, and some in that place they call CANADA where they sell special beacon that is actually just ham.

Before that I worked at a place stacking flatbed trailers for shipping using a huge Hyster fork lift. I paid for my beer and tuition doing that. Loved it. :)

I would rent the entire Ashleigh Inn in beautiful Cascade, Idaho.

Then, I would host an "all expense paid, including Air Fare, time off work, and any sundry expenses" party for all Christian Forum.net members and their families.

It would be a great time of fellowship, where we could all get together for a weekend, get in some face to face time, and just fellowship together. On Friday night we could have a Christian concert and on Sunday morning we could worship together at the Inn. Saturday could be spent by the pool at the Inn, at the local golf course, I'd have some boats rented for nearby Cascade Lake, river rafting would be available, hiking back to the Vulcan Hot Springs...or folks could just spend some time in the Hall at the Inn debating the finer points of Faith Alone vs. Works, Baptism of the Holy Spirit, or OSAS.

If I ever get rich...I'd love to do this!

Nice place for a retreat Handy. Then we can all fly out to Classik's new stadium that will hold 100,001 people.

Come on, Dora! Just win, baby!! :lol

At the risk of being a Debby Downer, my wife's brother (and family) hit the lotto years ago for about $3 million. True story. I might have mentioned this in the past. Within 4 or 5 years, he was divorced, owed against the payments they had coming annually and declared bankruptcy. I never was a lottery player, and this furthered my conviction that I'd never be.

But if we're just dreaming... I'd buy 20 years of suites for the Lions, Tigers and Red Wings along with 50-yard-line season tickets for Notre Dame football. I'd pay off my mortgage, live off the interest and be a full-time sports junky. :shades

I know what you mean, Mike.

I was just telling my daughter the other day, when we were discussing the difference between "having money" and being "financially secure" about a friend's brother.

When he and his fiance were engaged to be married, she won $40 million in a lottery. That was around 20 years ago. They lived large, set their folks up in fancy retirement homes, traveled the world....

Now, he's millions in arrears in taxes and penalties, is working as janitor, must sell his two homes (which are now not worth what he paid for them) as well as his mother's house out from under her to pay taxes...a real nightmare.

I'm sure that many people lead very happy lives after winning big bucks...but there certainly isn't a guarantee of it, that's for sure.

Assuming you mean, winning at least or more than a million dollars....

Give 10% to the church.

Pay off the house and car.

Quit my job.

Enroll in school and pursue a BSEE (Electrical Engineering).

Go back to work in engineering.

Buy new shoes.

Interesting! Engineering!
Quit your job :D :thumbsup
Buy new shoes! Do not buy oversized shoes

I would fix my broken body.
I would buy my friends gifts that help their personal development. (ie Help them get driving licences help them with their masters courses ect)
Buy a house just a normal one. with several spare rooms for pepole to visit and stay.
Make sure my mum was well taken care of so she can retire when she wants to.
And I'd fund and help setup a homeless shelter it's getting to be a serious problem here.

I would fall down on my faceand praise God for enterin me into the Lotto, I certainly have never waisted my money on that pipe dream.

I bought lottery tickets, $4 a week for almost a year.

WHY?

To avoid suicide. Really. The guys here at work were buying them together - think about it, had they won - I'd have killed myself if I was the ONLY one not in on it!

So, I bought with them, until the whole thing blew over....

:thumbsup I was going to say that I would give the money back since I don't play but I hadn't thought that it would truly be a miracle if I did win.

A "crazy" thing? I take it outside of the "spiritually" correct answers?!

I like the question, if for anything but to dream crazy for a moment! HAHA

Now I have dual residency (Las Vegas, NV and Tucson, Az) so when I think of the lottery (or mega-bucks) I think of multi-million dollars! (it's my dream, I can make it as big as I want! HAHA)

I would take my entire family downline (wife, 5 kids, 4 spouses, 10 grandchildren, and a partridge in a pear tree!) on a luxury, all-inclusive, 2+ week cruise.

I would then inform them that we (all) are multi-millionaires yet can't spend a dime of it because we are stuck in the middle of an ocean somewhere!!

Not crazy enough? Try telling that to my kids and grandkids! HAHA

Be blessed, Stay blessed, and be Bold!
