Bible Study What's In Your Wallet

There is a good solid reason God set up men in positions of authority With Him being the head ... most of us need to be accountable to another person..

you got it.............with God being the head as we are accountable to God first and then to others

How ironic is it that I can read and study the word of God by allowing the Holy Spirit teach me first so I am Spiritually equipped to take Gods word out into the world in all truths, but yet many others need to go to Seminary schools to be bound by the laws of government, to be taught by a man, which excludes the whole purpose of the Holy Spirit and puts God in a box only to be taken out to make one look Holy, but yet full of dead mans bones, Matthew 23:27.
I have no idea what you mean by "go to Seminary schools to be bound by the laws of government". Government has nothing to do with going to seminaries.

""to be taught by a man"" Paul was a MAN who taught a multitude of people.
Being taught by a man in no way excludes "the whole purpose of the Holy spirit" and in n o way "puts God in a box."
Jesus put TEACHERS in the church but you say not to listen to them. edited reba

Hi Jim. I agree with your questioning. I have a huge amount of respect and love for FHG. She is one of my favorite's. In re-reading her OP, I came to the conclusion that she must have either had a bad experience with a Seminary, or heard of some evil happenings in a few. My personal choice was to attend a Bible College rather than a Seminary.

I'm from the State of Maine, and just outside Rockland, Maine was "Glen Cove Bible College" which had great recommendations from Spirit filled men so I went there in 1975 and graduated in 1978. O my, I can't tell you of the spiritual wonders at that College and the folk who were fellow students. I was very well equipped to go out and shepherd four of Jesus' flocks with His success.

Seminaries? I guess there are some good ones, I hear there used to be a good one at Clark Summit, Penn. Perhaps you know a lot more than I do.

Hi Jim
Yes, Paul was a man just like all those today who preach the word of God, but many teach from a carnal mind and use logic in their teachings and others teach by the guidance of the Holy Spirit teaching them first.

There are three priorities in order to Preach the word of God and Paul had all three:
1. Have to be Spiritually born again
2. Have to have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit
3. God has to call you to be a Preacher/Evangelist
Only the Holy Spirit can teach us all truths and so imperative to learn how to discern what spirits are doing the teaching as one is the Spirit of truth and the other a Jezebel spirit of error, John 14:26; 1John 2:27; 1John 4:1-6

There are good Seminary schools and Bible Colleges out there, just ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the right one if you choose to attend.

Many Seminary schools and even Bible Colleges have to be recognized by the government as a religious organization with all rights and privileges as provide by law through the INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THEOLOGICAL ACCREDITATION (IATA). IATA is recognized worldwide for Theological Accreditation and more than 800 Theological Institutions throughout the world are affiliated to IATA.

Theological Seminaries and Bible College should not be accredited by accrediting associations that are "recognized" by an agency of the federal government, because it is contrary to the Biblical principle of "Separation of Church and State", indicated by Christ when he said, "render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the thing that are God's." Mark 12:7.
What business does a Christian educator have, going to the world of unbelievers for recognition and acknowledgment as II Cor. 6:14 says, "Be not equally yoked together with unbelievers: For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?"
