I saw it. 25.00 for a Star wars plastic bucket of popcorn at the IMax.

lol I have just enough for two tickets and some snacks...maybe a big thing of popcorn and two drinks. But no $25 popcorn. Nope. lol

Definitely worthy of being a Star Wars movie. My brother and I both agreed it got kinda predictable near the end, but to me that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I don't have a problem with it being similar to some other of the Star Wars movies. The SW movies have always been about great characters and great adventure, with some humour thrown in. We got all of that and more.

I'll be seeing it a couple more times so I'll have to see where it ranks among the other SW moves, but it's at least as good as IV and VI. Not as good as V though.

Sorry the iv to vi rock.nick I'm older that was awesome.thar will never be replaced to me.

I'm not saying they're not good. The original trilogy is fantastic. I"m saying in my opinion, vii is at least as good as they are.

questdriven sorry! I clicked the notification for your response a few up where you said you might see it, and it looked like that was the last post in the thread. That explained my post above. Glad you saw and liked it! I usually see commentary from Star Wars fans. Nice to see a positive review from someone who isn't necessarily a fan of the series.

Looking forward to when we can talk openly about it, because I've heard a theory that I happen to believe that absolutely BLEW MY MIND! If this theory pans out in 8 and 9, it will take this story line to epic status!

Yeah, many theories abound.

I saw it a second time tonight, and my order of Star Wars films is now: 5, 4, 7, 6, 3, 2, 1

According to the books I have read, given its 20 plus years, ago.Luke will slay the new vader like it's nothing.

I'd go 5, 7, 4 and the rest the same. The funny thing is as amazing as 4 was, the acting was brutal, and the directing was awkward. Unless Mark Hammel has spent the last 40 years in acting lessons, he had the perfect amount of lines in 7. There are a lot of theories, but I'm not extremely anxious to learn things like who Rey is. This theory I'm globbing onto is a game changer.

Well Mark has spent a lot of time doing voice work. He's the voice of the Joker in the animated Batman series and also plays a main character on the Regular Show on the Cartoon Network. I loved how he looked in 7 though.

I agree a bit about episode 4. For me the issue is more that the beginning is pretty boring IMO, but the rest is so awesome I can forgive it. To me though, what puts it above 6 is that as cool as the Endor stuff is, it's not really Star Wars.

As for Rey's parentage, the obvious theory almost seems too obvious. I'm thinking it's something else.

Was pretty good. Extremely well done in laying it into the context of the rest of the films. Han Solo was magnificent, both in writing and performance. Just a bit derivative in the climactic battle, almost the same thing as in the first one to come out. Seemed to me that Harrison Ford did this one for the fans. You'll see why when you see the film.

Kylo Ren was very nicely three-dimensional; look for him to be back with lots of plot twists. I liked it. I wonder if there's something key in his name:

开锣 人 "outcast" Literally, "kicked out person."

Characters out of character, plot holes, and oversimplified reasons for actions?

I'm going to wait for the DVD.

JJ Abrahms.star wars was never an in depth thinking philosophiCal movie .star trek is for that.I could go into star trek the motion picture alone for that.remember the scene on Vulcan where spock is with that priest and she says what you seek can't be found here.that is dealt with in star trek the lost years.spock and g
His race are demi gods and use logic to keep that power of the god like ability they have in check.they can as spock did store his katra.they store the founders of the modern Vulcan culture there in orbs. That is alluded to in star trek enterprise and played out as archer is possessed and brings their holy book to the priests .
