a string of wire from point a to point b usually on mountainous areas where either tree to tree you cross while holding on to a wheeled rope or bar and go really fast. we had zip lines on play grounds on the beach. that was a blast. these can be over lakes or deep ponds and fun too. let go and drop into the cold water. What is zip lining?
Like the sound of it until you drop into the water. I can't swim !
you were higher then at the most 50 ft most likely. when you are on a rope or bar you can let go and drop into the water. these are at times on homes I have read. there was one in city limits that was from tree to tree and had a ladder built into the higher point.I didn't drop in the water though. I just safely glided a crossed to another tower or whatever.
The guys I just trained with say there is way too much watered down aikido that has strayed from its true martial traditions. They hate the flowery harmony stuff, too.never been to Montana. don't care Aikido despite having a sho dan in it. its really hard to find a usable form of that works and isn't hokey and mystical.
So they use atemi? O sensei, removed thoseThe guys I just trained with say there is way too much watered down aikido that has strayed from its true martial traditions. They hate the flowery harmony stuff, too.
Montana is correct! Wow you guys are good. East Helena to be exact. Visiting friends, taking aikido classes.
He did ,lol you are doing jj as that is what jj is.modern jj is going to have ground game abd also borrowed stiff used in mma.it has to ,there is street use for that .it's always been there just removed by kano ,and o sensei.rediscovered by the gracies,aND added into it by mma fightsThey used a lot of atemi. He even said true aikido is 99.9% atemi. I'm not sure if it was Ueshiba who removed striking, although a lot of dojos teach it that way.
OK, well it wasn't jiujitsu, traditional or Brazilian. It was mainstream aikido. I speak Japanese, and know the difference. He did ,lol you are doing jj as that is what jj is.modern jj is going to have ground game abd also borrowed stiff used in mma.it has to ,there is street use for that .it's always been there just removed by kano ,and o sensei.rediscovered by the gracies,aND added into it by mma fights
Juitsu prior to kano was? Aikido and judo are cousins, even brothers. .Modern ,what you call traditional is actually a philosphy and much remover from the art of killing in war.older arts aren't. Mma is a return to that. It isn't new.I waa once like you ,aikido is aikido but studying under a rokyku,in Juitsu I see otherwise as he can make his art more aikido like then any sho Dan et. Under a more direct link to osensei.OK, well it wasn't jiujitsu, traditional or Brazilian. It was mainstream aikido. I speak Japanese, and know the difference.
Nope not at all. I'm staying the idea of the most knowledgeable masters of the three sibling arts all look similiar. I didn't add arnis, which blends into jj as its modern founder studied under a jj master.I'm lost now. All I'm saying is I just took a special training session in aikido. Not jiujutsu, aikido. If you're saying it wasn't aikido because of the striking, I guess we must agree to disagree.
