Where have you lived, Where are you from?

That's just on my own...the time at the dojo didn't count

It's like what Steve McQueen said in the movie Le Mans: "Racing is life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting."

Steve McQueen was a student of Bruce Lee, btw.

I am drug-dependent too. One of the biggest helps my medication gives me is that after I take it I sleep very deeply. Sleep is a MUST for me. My hallucinations increase when I don't get sleep.

Then there is the whole mental illness thing. If I don't take my medication, I get really sick.

I can relate. Sleep is my drug. My bed is my dealer, and the police is the alarm clock. Lol

I was born in Columbus Ohio. I've lived in ohio, Colorado, California, Colorado, Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Ohio, Colorado, and Ohio...in that order.

I could be wrong, being a foreigner and all.... but I assume Colorado vs California must be a big change?

I've lived in Vestfold, Møre og Romsdal, Sør- Trøndalag and Nordland in Norway + Inverclyde in Scotland.

Yes...it's like going from one end of the EU to the other.

I've lived in CA, Idaho, Alabama, Alaska, New York, New Jersey, and currently Tennessee.
Where to next? Dunno really. Might be Raleigh Durham NC....might be Seattle. Might be Southern California...we'll find out when we get there.

We have a lot of places in common. My husband grew up in Columbus, Ohio, then moved to Colorado. I grew up in Fla., then moved to Colorado. Where we still are.

I have lived in Minnesota all my life although my dad was an iron-worker and due to his job locations we moved around a little. Was born in Detroit Lakes, MN which is about an hour east of Fargo, ND. Then moved to Mt. Iron, MN about an hour north of Duluth, MN. Then moved to Hawley, MN about 1/2 hour from Detroit Lakes. Then moved back to Mt. Iron, MN. It was about that time that I was about to start high school so my mother decided to dig in her heals and we would stay put while my dad would travel as needed. So they bought a trailer house (12' x 65') and parked it in Kinney, MN about 10 minutes from Mt. Iron. If you're interested in a unique story check out this link...Republic of Kinney.

Once I left home I lived in Hibbing, MN; Britt, MN; Buhl, MN; Eveleth, MN (hockey hall of fame); Miltona, MN; and currently near Osakis, MN since 1993.

Big difference. I don't like cali but in fairness to them...I've always made money hand over fist when I go there. (I only lived there for one year as a kid).

Wow we do have lots of places in common! Where are you at in Colorado? I was in Colorado Springs.

Colorado is easily the most beautiful and best place that I've ever lived. I'd be there now if it was up to me...

I live in Boulder. I lived in Jacksonville, Miami, and Gainesville in Fla. But we will probably stay put for quite awhile.

Boulder is a very cool town! I've worked up there and have a T shirt from there.

We were in Orlando and Melbourne when we lived in Florida. That didn't last long either. I couldn't make enough money down there.

Born in the country in NW Pennsylvania, lived in San Antonio Texas for eight years and move back to PA. City life was exciting at first for a country girl, but missed the PA county side and will never leave it again. This is a view from our camp of the Allegheny River. How could I ever leave such beauty ever again.

I've lived now for 35 years in Connecticut. But, I was born and raised in Western New York State. I've always lived in New York or New England, except for my years in the Navy when I lived for short periods in Illinois, California, Florida, Guam, and Italy.

Did you move a lot?

Originally from South Carolina USA, lived in several places within my first few years of life since my mother was in the Navy. New Jersey was one, I know. Two or three bases in Italy.
Then we moved to Georgia in the US and have been here ever since. Since we were here when my mom got out of the Navy.

I'm jealous you got to live in Italy. My Mom has Italian blood in her.

My Dad wanted to name me Mary, and my Mom said, my side of the family is italian... how about Maria?

I've actually had mexican people ask my why my name is Maria, I'm not mexican, and I say, Where's the Vatican? Who do they call Mary? Maria!

(My Dad used to be Catholic)

Born and raised in Delaware, until I came upon the age of .... joining the USAF to kick some butt during Desert Shield >> Storm. Stationed in various places like Texas and South Carolina, then after I was discharged and moved to Washington State. Met my wife on Christian "babes" Singles, and moved to California where we married and have been for the last five years. I plan to move somewhere like Nampa Idaho in another two years (and yes she's coming with me), the cost of living is in the top ten within the United States. There we hope to be home owners!

God bless,
William
