Sitting in front of my computer answering all your questionsWhere will you spend your eternity?
I am going home too - Heaven. The bible makes it clear that the earth is only your temporary residents, whether it is long term or short term. Everyone will exist eternally either in heaven or hell. Everyone has only one life in which to determine their destiny. Heaven or hell is determined by whether a person believes (puts their trust) in Christ alone to save them. Hell was designed originally for Satan and his demons. Hell will also punish the sin of those who reject Christ. Hell is conscious torment. Hell is eternal and irreversible. I am going back home...Heaven!
And your computer may deny you;)Sitting in front of my computer answering all your questions
Absolutley funny. Handsomness? Leave it for Villa. King David was a handsome man.Heaven because God saved me. Is that you classik? I kind of feel like I am at a photo shoot of yours with these changing avatars. Your handsomeness is distracting me from important things we discuss on here.
If you obey the commandments, you'll find yourself in heaven.Where will you spend your eternity?
Possible answers:
Atheists: In the grave
JW: Here on Earth
JW2: In the new earth
The rest: With God in Heaven.
So where will you spend your eternity???;)
Or object that the question is inapplicable since they will cease to exist upon dying and so there will be no 'me' to be around for eternity.Atheists: In the grave
I disagree but let's leave that aside for now. Your response brings up a question. If you believe that as an atheist you will simply "cease to exist" are you satisified with this knowing (or at least reading on this forum) that there is an alternative?Or object that the question is inapplicable since they will cease to exist upon dying and so there will be no 'me' to be around for eternity.
Yes, I am satisfied with this as much as I am satisfied that I will have to go out and buy my own Christmas present even though I know of the Santa Claus alternative.I disagree but let's leave that aside for now. Fair enough.Yes, I am satisfied with this as much as I am satisfied that I will have to go out and buy my own Christmas present even though I know of the Santa Claus alternative.
I'm missing the connection between what I said and the verse you are quoting.Fair enough.
Matt. 12:36--"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement"
I missed the post.....apologies. New earth = New Jerusalem (I was trying to say)Heaven and the New Earth with my resurrected body for eternity. JW2 in the new earth, what does that mean?
I personally don't believe your view that you will simply cease to exist. If I remember correctly from some of your previous posts you used to be a believer. I believe (and I'm going to assume that you also did at one time-even though assumptions usually get me in trouble) that we will ALL stand before the judgement seat one day. Should you face judgement with the same views that you have today, I believe (and the reason for the scripture about idle words) that you will regret comparing the alternative that our Lord Jesus offers to the alternative that Santa Claus offers. Not trying to argue. Just my thoughts and maybe something to think about.I'm missing the connection.
