Pagan beliefs are sprinkled in the Christian religion and the Bible. Christmas was borne from a pagan holiday...Easter is full of pagan elements and origins. Read the Epic of Gilgamesh and tell me it's not eerily similar to the Noahic flood story....but it was written about 1000 years prior to story Moses wrote.

I'm a Deist...I think God designed/created our universe but doesn't micromanage our lives like others would have us believe.

:D R',you are right,and you are someone who has really looked deeper and did the time to study it out!!! I could not shorten any of what you wrote because so many people out there don't know this,and they need to know it to protect themselves from all the lies. Yes,the pagans even tried to use christianity and they tried to mess it up. You can trust the bible,but the pagans will always add some truth to all their lies.
I don't celebrate any holidays at all. I am not a JW,or any religion. I won't attend any church that accepts the pagan holidays,and i no longer have a church at this time.I pray and read the bible. God helps me & I honestly believe that.
The pagans did mix their false beliefs in with Christianity. They say that King Harod celebrated Easter even. The book of Jeremiah in 3:10 tells us about some of the pagan practices and what some of the people did.
Remember what Constantine did?

Creation by God, in combination with adaptations, small changes, natuaral selection, etc
But it in its original form:
Creation by God, no evolution.

I don't understand your response. You mean you believe in both? Of course it has to begin somewhere, with the Creation by God.

But I don't think the Creation by God by itself is logical.
I mean, there have been adaptions and evolution on the small scale all around us, even duing the last 100 years.

A biblical literalist is obligated to believe in the bizarre...such as celestial bodies mating and actually producing offspring with human folk. Read the beginning of Gen chapter 6, celestial beings mated with humans producing "men of renown" the Nephilim.
Hey if they want to believe in that stuff....that's up to them.
