Apparently, you don't agree with Rev. 13:18.
I do I really do, but that does not mean that I agree with what you think Revelation 13:18 means. What I love the most about the bible is that it does not come with a manual on how to interpret it.

Rev 13:18 says quite plainly that the antichrist - beast - 666 - or whatever you wish to call him, will be a man.
I don't see what needs to be interpreted there.

It's ok friend let's stop playing post hockey :)

Actually I used to think that verse specifically meant it had to literally be a man too. But as with a lot of the Bible and especially a book full of symbolism like Reveleation, interpretation does play a part, compounded by the fact that none of it was originally written in english. The original greek word translated to "man" in this case is anthrōpos, which is often used to mean "mankind", not just a specific man. Our own word "man" is used similarly. So this verse could mean the antichrist will literally be a man, or could simply be from the human race. Could be a woman or even a child I suppose. But I think the idea of "the beast" being something artificial, like AI, etc, probably isn't correct since later in the verse "the beast" is referred to as "him", which is from the greek word autos, which I'm pretty sure always refers to a human being. Could be a woman or child too, but it seems to refer to a human being.

You wrote that with such heart and such insight, I learned alot from it.

So when Revelations states that the antichrist and the false prophet will be thrown into "Hell" when Jesus returns, I guess it meant that all of mankind would be put there.

I suppose you can guess that way if you wish, but that's certainly not the way I read it. I have no idea why you read it that way.

It's called sarcasm.
Of course, it doesn't refer to all of mankind, a woman, a child, or a teenaged girl.

The antichrist and the false prophet are 2 men - NOT all of mankind - NOT an AI - NOT Nephilim - NOT aliens from outer space - nor anything else.

maybe not afar off after all. simple , whatever. but think a minute(or a century, whatever). if and when satan is thrown into either heel, the grave, or the lake of fire,
wherever he is thrown,
it makes sense in so many ways,

that

his "followers" will "follow" him. (not necessarily willingly at that point, (too obvious, huh?)) .

...... of course, to follow Jesus might be a lot better choice now, today. then , later, when it is final, well..... everyone is going to follow then who they follow today. no more choice though.

No need to be sarcastic here. No one said the antichrist would be all of mankind.

'False prophet' is a descriptive term that can be applied to many. Is there a particular one you are interested in?
MAYBE the Pope - but I am certain that he will NOT be the antichrist. That will be someone else.
As far as the AC is concerned, I am looking for a man from Italy - based on my interpretation of Genesis 49. No one agrees with me - but that's O.K.
Other people can look for him from other nationalities and/or religions.

I see no place in this thread where you talked about your interpretation of Gen 49 for anyone to disagree with. Did I miss it? (It's early and the coffee hasn't soaked in yet!) Could you be more specific. I've read Gen 49 and see no mention of Italy, but would be interested to know what your interpretation is. But there's a lot in there that obviously isn't Italy. Please post the specific verse(s) you are talking about and why you interpret them this way.

Regarding Dan - In Genesis 49, Jacob states that Dan will judge his people. The Roman Empire had such a great judicial system that it was copied by Great Britain and then by the United States. Today, that country would be Italy.
As I have said, no one else agrees with me. I don't expect you to agree with me either - nor am I passing this off as "fact".
Just for the record - based on my interpretations of Genesis 49, I believe the Tribes of Joseph, which will be the most powerful and will NEVER be conquered because Joseph and his sons remained loyal to God while in Egypt, to be the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.
I believe Zabulon, a sea-faring people, to be Spain, Portugal, Central and South America, etc.
Judah is the ONLY Tribe to maintain its identity - the Jews.
Reuben, which never will be first, MIGHT be Ireland.

God promised Abraham that his seed would be as plentiful as the sand of the sea. These Tribes might be "lost" to history, but they are NOT "lost" to God. He KNOWS where they are. Even if I am not correct in my interpretations, these Tribes are somewhere - and they are NOT the Jews because the Jews are only one Tribe.

I hope that explains my beliefs on that topic.

All the tribes were conquered at some point, otherwise they would have never been lost. The only seed of Abraham that matters is Jesus; one seed. Christ's followers are as plentiful as the sand of the sea, and membership in His Body has nothing to do with heredity. While it may be fun to explore parallels between the old testament and today, one must be careful not to fall into self deception. Belief that God is a respecter of persons based on heredity is the deception that afflicted the false prophet Barjesus and warranted his blindness.

YES - All of the Tribes were conquered but when the Assyrians conquered the Kingdom of Israel and deported the people, those people were never allowed to return. That is historical fact.
Since those Tribes are mentioned in Revelation and Revelation has not happened yet, they are somewhere and God KNOWS where they are.
It is NOT deception to state that the Tribes of Israel exist today because they do. I just happen to believe that those same Tribes make up most of Europe and all of the Western Hemisphere along with a few other places elsewhere.

I never said if I agree with you or not because I didn't know what you were talking about. Now that you've explained it, you've given me some food for thought. But I'm just leaving my morning church job and on my way to my afternoon job so that thought will have to come later when I have a chance to re-read Chapter 49 in light of what you have said. Thanks for answering my question about this.

That is ALL that I can ask for.
Be careful about agreeing with me though - because if you do, you will then have to agree, that of the 144,000 members of the Elect, 12,000 will be Jewish and the rest will be Christians. From what I have seen on other sites, some, if not most, of the "isms" have a major problem with this. They insist that the 144,000 members of the Elect are all Jewish.

...and to another poster - Just because a person is an Israelite, it doesn't mean that they are Christians. Atheists may be Israelites but they are not Christians. A person might be born an Israelite but each person CHOOSES to follow Jesus Christ or not.
