Why God Made Women

Is there a reason why God Made Women? Adam didn't ask for a Woman directly....but his actions however showed He needed someone (an unknown someone of whatever form).

Ask people today why God made women and some would give a Genesis account: Multiplication. Sort of weird (when limited to just that idea).

Funny thing is...some people don't even care about babies...some don't want babies (not assertive).

Well, maybe because God hates men. Or maybe because he loves men.... Your call....

That's a pretty keen observation that Adam never asked for a woman. What were his actions that showed he needed one? Well, I think I know.... But I'd like to hear other opinions.

I have an answer as to why God created woman (and thus, women). But it won't be popular.

Adam didn't know he needed a woman until he got one.
This way when he did something wrong, he could blame the woman.

The story of the Man, made from Dust of the eretz and God who knew (the Ancient of Days) is very tender. Part of what the Lord was doing was a conversation between Father and Son. That is the mystery that Paul revealed. But back to that man who through whose nostril (a very intimate act) was given (breathed) life...

The Lord, the Ancient of Days, knew the heart of that man and it was not and is not his joy to prevent the desire of the heart even if they (the desires) are unknown. The One who reveals hearts also reveals the end from the beginning. So the Lord took the man and brought him and gave him authority to name the animals. During this time came the understanding that there was no animal fit for him. It may have been a dim understanding even when the Lord caused him to sleep. It may have been a "wonder" and an "Awe" to reflect upon for all his days. Imagine his Joy when he awoke and also realized that she was truly bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh. Adam (the man made from the dust, from the eretz) spoke again to name. He called her a name, Isha [wife/woman], because out of Ish [man] came she. He was like the Lord in this because he also was formed from what came out of the Lord - the very breath of God.

Now then, we turn to what Eve exclaimed for another mystery and examine closely what was said by her when their first child was born. She too was included in the "out from me" miracle we see.

But before we go, we need to turn to Hosea and open our eyes to the Promise there. Hosea 2:14-24. Here we hear God say, You shall no longer call me Baali (Lord) but shall call me Ishi (Husband). There is much to be seen in these things.

Classik, I'm having trouble with your question, because it implies that you think that women should have a "function". But it's not right to define any human as some object or as a functionality for someone else. We (women) exist for the same reason men exist.
Why would God NOT make a female of the human species, because most animals and many plants have a gender dimorphism (=two sexes). So why did God create mankind? That's the question, and if that question is answered you know why humans of either gender exist. Women aren't less humans than men are. Humankind is not male by default. So the question you asked is actually invalid.

When God had created Adam He was happy with His creation, but He knew that humankind is only halfway done, and in order for the human species to be complete and for all of us to be able to find love and companionship He completed the project by making females.

A sister in the Lord explained something to me. She pointed to how often God looked upon what He had done and pronounced it "Good".

1:4 God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness.
1:10 - God called the dry land Eretz, and the gathering together of the waters he called Seas. God saw that it was good.
1:12 - The eretz brought forth grass, herbs yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with its seed in it, after their kind: and God saw that it was good.
1:18 - and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. God saw that it was good.
1:21 - God created the large sea creatures, and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. God saw that it was good.
1:25 - God made the animals of the eretz after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. God saw that it was good.
1:31 - God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Recall that I have pointed to a view of mine that includes the conversation between The Father and The Son. Then look and see what The Father said. What did He see that was not good? That, to me, is seen as the first promise. Spoken between God and Jesus, The Christ. That is the vision of our Jesus, the "word" that had been heard and declared since the beginning. The promise that was given to Him, our Jesus and the mystery revealed.

Don't take my word for it. Prove for yourself that what I say is true. Take the Berean nobility of spirit here and search daily and prove. Ask that the Lord open your eyes to what He has done and what role we (both men and women) play as the "fruit of the earth". Is it right for man to work and not taste the fruit of his labor? Has not Jesus worked in the earth? Shall he be prevented the desire of His heart? There are many things to see here. They have been declared from the beginning.

When God created Adam, He placed a mandate on Adam's life. This can be seen in Gen 1:28 - ".....Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it....". In order to follow through with this mandate, Adam could NOT do this by himself. A help-mate was needed to accomplish this.... This is first thing that sticks out in scripture of why women were made.

According to Gen 1:18-25 Eve was made to be a companion and helper to Adam. Because He knew the guys can't make it on their own. :D
So actually the second human was made because the first human was alone, but humans need love and companionship. And woman and men are made as "opposites" so they can be "one flesh" (companionship and procreation), as verse 24 states.

...whose seed is in itself. God already knew that He would make Woman for the Man. It just hadn't transpired yet and they let Adam be alone for a few and then surprised him with her. What a good God we have! I miss being married.

I've learned that when I try to question why God does or allows something, it just leads me in circles. The answer always ends up being "Because he wanted to."
