Mike asked me where my username came from, thought I'd start a thread where we could all tell the story of our username. This has gone very well on other forums, so jump in and tell us the story of [insert your name here].
Back in the early 90's, when my boys were young, we always spent Sunday night at home and together. I would make homemade pizza and we'd sit and eat while talking and watching TV.
One evening, my oldest came bouncing into the kitchen and asked, "Hey, Pizza-Dad, when is it gonna be ready?" Very soon thereafter, I got my first internet service and email address. I tried for Pizzadad@######i.net but the process failed somehow and locked me out. I then tried Pizzaguy and it went thru.... I've been pizzaguy ever since.
Recently, I try to let everyone know my name is Mark, but it's also fun to be called "Pizza" at sports car get togethers as well as here, online. I've been Pizzaguy so long and on so many forums, that "Pizza" seems like my actual name.
I don't actually eat pizza much anymore. I went on a real "food change" (not a diet, they are temporary and cause weight gain) within the last ten years. I no longer eat fast food, pizza, french fries (unless they are cooked in Olive oil) or even any chocolate to speak of. This change came overnight and my cholesterol went from 242 to 186 in 13 weeks. (My weight went way down, but that took 2 or 3 years and was not my goal - but I LIKE IT!)
