Why Pizzaguy? Why your Username?

Pizzaguy

Mike asked me where my username came from, thought I'd start a thread where we could all tell the story of our username. This has gone very well on other forums, so jump in and tell us the story of [insert your name here].

Back in the early 90's, when my boys were young, we always spent Sunday night at home and together. I would make homemade pizza and we'd sit and eat while talking and watching TV.

One evening, my oldest came bouncing into the kitchen and asked, "Hey, Pizza-Dad, when is it gonna be ready?" Very soon thereafter, I got my first internet service and email address. I tried for Pizzadad@######i.net but the process failed somehow and locked me out. I then tried Pizzaguy and it went thru.... I've been pizzaguy ever since.

Recently, I try to let everyone know my name is Mark, but it's also fun to be called "Pizza" at sports car get togethers as well as here, online. I've been Pizzaguy so long and on so many forums, that "Pizza" seems like my actual name.

I don't actually eat pizza much anymore. I went on a real "food change" (not a diet, they are temporary and cause weight gain) within the last ten years. I no longer eat fast food, pizza, french fries (unless they are cooked in Olive oil) or even any chocolate to speak of. This change came overnight and my cholesterol went from 242 to 186 in 13 weeks. (My weight went way down, but that took 2 or 3 years and was not my goal - but I LIKE IT!)

Good story, . . . . and good job on your newly [relatively, that is] adopted diet plan. I try to eat well, too.

My username. . . . . . . . . . well, . . . . . . . take a guess? :clap

Okay, well thanks, Pizza Dad!

DR, here's just a shot, but I'm thinkin' it's your name. How crazy is that? A search for "Deavon Reye" or "Deavonreye" doesn't yield much, except for the fact that you get around on a number of boards; both theistic and atheistic. Disappointing... :shame We never came out and said we had an exclusive relationship, but I thought it was understood.
:D

my nick has no story it is just me, Rebecca. A very special person suggested i use reba as Becky was gone....Parents figured i could use the help and named me Rebecca Ruth

And unusual story.

There is no story behind my user-name I just liked the name.
I do have a nickname my friends frequently call me IRL

"Malice"
It's a fusion of my given name and adopted name. You can probably work out what both of them are from that. I thought it was quaint so I never complained.

I just thought you had been a fan of The Flintstones.

I'm Igor because it's almost never taken (except on ChristianForums.com. Someone over there took it from me!!!:sad) so I don't have to remember a different name for each forum. After all, who wants to be known as "Igor"????

PizzaGuy... French fries in olive oil? Do they taste much different? I've gotta try that. I guess it would make other deep fried things healthier too. I'm thinking real deep fried fish and chips combined with a little less guilt...

The question I have is...is it prounouced ee-gor or i-gor? :)

Mine, well, first time I needed to come up with a username, the "Handy Science Answer Book" was laying on the desk, so there ya go!

To me, they taste better, but that may be due to the fact they we cut up the raw potatoes ourselves and toss them into the oil and away we go!

I'd need to try making the same fries with "bad" oil and see if there is a difference.

Yep, that's the way I do them too. Thanks for the tip!

Just keepin it real. I guess I am pretty simple. But good reasons behind it. Its my real name. Choose it because it keeps me honest. When I use my real name, it makes me feel real. It keeps me from living a 'dual' lifestyle. The cyber world can sometimes make people 'fake'. Using my real name keeps it real. :lol

my is my first name and part of my last.

I usually use my real name in online forums. I guess for the same reason as Nathan pointed out. I think I chose a different one this time was for variety sake. For those that might be interested, my real name is Bob.
