Trying to use the word "after" to extend... the 69th week into the 70th week is fallacy. There is no Scripture support for doing such a thing.
What does after mean to you?
And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
Do you believe the Messiah was cut off before the sixty two weeks?
Verse 26 is telling us its events were in between the 69th and 70th week.
And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
Daniel 9:26
- after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
Both Messiah being cut off and the destruction of the city and sanctuary take place after the 62 weeks, and before the 70th week begins.
