Will the true Church Please Stand Up

Maybe. I just find that if you don't dress, don't act, like they do then you're sort of ignored or at least they don't want to approach you. I don't have any tattoos or piercings, pretty normal. I think I'm young and sometimes the older generation doesn't mesh well with the younger ones, maybe.
Well, I named three West Coast states where I was pretty sure I could help you find something different........................

I wrote on your wall in response, I tried pm'ing you but is there some reason I can't pm yet? I couldn't do so.

If we don't want the help though, I don't see God forcing himself onto us. It is the same with salvation, he isn't going to make us accept him.

I am open to broadening my view on my definitions of terms and understandings and God has shown me much much grace. I guess I always thought that I needed to respond to that grace.
"Respond" to with the love He desires, not "repay" with what He has no real need of.

And one person is going to make a difference?I don't think so.
How do you know you are one person? There may be others suffering in silence just waiting for that one to walk in the door who will partner with them and the Lord.
For me it all depends on the pastor's attitude (love) and teaching (from scripture), if he has got a heart for God and for people (not just the people in his congregation) all will be well.

There are others, of course, but I will only suggest a GOOGLE for <Vineyard Fellowships in [ your state ]> because I happen to be very familiar with the way most Vineyards operate.

The only repaying I remotely even know what to do is to give him my life, but he already bought it. So, yes, it would be in response to his offer.

Once, many years ago, I was going to do something very stupid with a gun. I couldn't find the cartridges. Later, after the emotion had passed, I found them..... RIGHT WHERE I HAD BEEN LOOKING EARLIER.... In plain view.

You can tell me that wasn't God's grace if you want, but I'll never believe you.

for_his_glory,

It is the Holy Spirit who led men like Strong (Concordance), and Vine (Dictionary) and Wilson (Word Studies) and Torrey (Treasury of Scripture Knowledge) to provide us with tools to help us in our Bible studies.

Not all of us can be Hebrew and Greek scholars, and these tools are not to "learn from" but to "learn with". Pastors and teachers should be encouraging Christians to use them, but that is rare indeed.

It is the Holy Spirit -- the Spirit of God Himself -- who teaches us.

I do use the Strong's Exhausted Concordance to look up words for the Hebrew and Greek meaning when I study the Bible and that's all I need when I study by letting the Holy Spirit teach me. I have Willmington's Guide to the Bible and even Tim LaHaye's Prophecy Study Bible that I asked for and received many years ago when I started ready the Bible and thought these men knew what they were talking about because that was what my Pastor was preaching also. The thing is I quit reading and started a deeper search into scripture and the deeper I got into the word the more I found that their teachings did not line up with the word of God. Sometimes it just becomes another supplement to the Bible as the Mormons have, which they believe is truth, but yet a deceptive word. It all boils down to learn how to discern that of what you read whether it be truth or error.

Hey now I didn't say he doesn't save us from ourselves. haha

Praise God, bro! Sounds like a miracle to me!

Where are the prophets of God today?

I don't believe there are Prophets today as the Prophets were given by Christ for the laying of the foundation of the Church as the Disciples and Apostles carried a message from the Lord to the early believers as they established the Church of Christ (without four walls) before all their letters were written into book form that we call the Bible. I do believe in a prophetic word given to the church or an individual by another for instruction of being in obedience to Gods will. We already have the revelations of Christ throughout the Bible and we need no man to teach us apart from the anointing which we have received, 1John2:27.

You sound like a person who needs to know what the Bible has to say about being "judgmental".

I know I am not a moderator, but Rollo and Kathi please keep to the ToS as we need to be loving and not demeaning to each other.

Willie that is an example of Gods grace as he uses His power and authority over some of the stupid decisions we make as when I tried to commit suicide many years ago by driving over a cliff I know it was God grabbing that wheel every time I tried.

You know what, you're right, I shouldn't be doing that.

I can tell you that this attitude has come from being "shot down" because of my age, it's very frustrating sometimes.
Keep talking.
I will help build you up in Christ.
It helps me at the same time.

Who is that person?
I'll beat on them for you!

Is it healthy to point fingers?

Choose life.
I am very pro life.
That is one of my choices but how many choices are there during our grown lives? How many people let God make those choices and how many people do their own thing as a Christian?
