Women Wearing Pants?

He may not be describing 'secular' women but real Christian women is another thing. Unbelievers do hang out in church you know. We are called to be IN the world but not OF the world. That is the difference.
FYI, I was married twice, the first for 23 years and the second for 4 years. Both professed Jesus as Saviour and both walked away from the marriage. Those type of things happen

Stan, even secular women aren't (by and large) as bad as Joe makes them out to be. I know a great many.
 
Generally speaking, and being polite, women dont fornicate alone.
Guess it is good i am not in the dating world. I would most likely be alone..

The way this thread is heading should i move it?
 
Darkhorse, you are young aren't you.

By the time you hit 50 you will have seen people do some things so bad you'll have a hard time believing it. You have no idea how evil some women can be. And maybe some men, but then again I don't date men so I don't know.

When I was single and lonely, it was actually several Christians who encouraged me to go out and find some "one night stands"... another Christian encouraged me to get pregnant... the guy would be on the hook for child payments and I'd have a baby to love...as old as I was getting, I was running the risk of not being able to have kids after all...

Turns out, she was right about that. I wound up being too old, plus things were complicated due to the past abuse... I never was able to have kids...

Didn't stop the Lord from blessing me with two of the best kids on the planet though...;)

It's even worse for the younger kids today... As a parent of a 14 year old and a 12 year old, I find myself fighting back worry for them and how they will ever be able to find godly mates...

It's bad out there... and it's only going to get worse.

THanks Dora. I have waded thru a field of some disturbing "Christian" women, that is for sure.

But Lori (the lady I mentioned) is very different. I observed her for 8 months at work before asking her out, as I was quite done with women "Christian" or otherwise. Then, one Friday in June of 2012 I was at working thinking, "Where IS she?" (in kind of a mind of prayer) and Lori walked by.

When she came back going the other direction, I spoke up. We went to dinner the next day and even with a full stomach, I could NOT make her car sick in the curves on Blood Mountain! No "you are goin too fast" or "you sure you know what you are doing?"

Women of my dreams? Perhaps, but we won't know for some time. ;)

I'm well aware some women are evil. Just as many men are. That doesn't allow people to demonize the entire gender simply because they've had a bad experience.

I've seen overwhelmingly evil Christians; but while I remain wary of them, I do not presume to denounce all Christians as evil.

(This is what Joe was talking about) I dont' think any of my pictures above showed a woman wearing men's clothing.

Well being that we were engaged, and she lost her apartment because of having to get operated on for cancer,,,,,,

Not to mention she had no place to go and couldn't work

Should I have put my fiancee out in the street?

The scheduled wedding plans kind of took a back seat to necessity
 
I dont' think Joe was condeming ALL women - I know it SOUNDS like he and I were, but c'mon, some hyperbole is just part of making a point.

But the fact is, people of both gender ARE becoming "lover of self" these days, are they not?

I don't know... this thread is going through layers... we are going from what could have been very superficial to dealing with some very real issues facing single Christians and the Church in general.

Feminism and also the sexual revolution did irrevocable harm to society... and it's creeping ever further into the church.

I've been following this thread, and have to say, my heart aches for some of the hurt that is making it's way to the surface. This issue of women wearing pants seems like just a facade for other deeper issues of relationships, with both God and partners.

I've been happily married for 38 years to a Christian woman I'm more in love with today than when we began. She has worn pant suits in professional roles, as well as skirts and dresses. It has never been an issue of trying to subvert our roles as man and wife, and brother and sister in Christ. When we decide that our love for God and each other is more important that love of ourselves, God guides us.
 
Me and my wife were researching this subject for quite some time. Fortunately or unfortunately, my wife had to wear pants and there is no easy alternative. Even the women pants are not so modest as most pants are not loosely fit but tight enough to expose the curves of private parts which are not to be public.

I was doing a little research on when women began to wear pants because it is not even in the western culture to wear pants and the women wearing pants is a more recent invention and pushed enough to be widely accepted.

I noticed in wikipedia for Women_wearing_pants
In the United States, this may be due to the passage of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which made public education treat males and females equally and in turn dresses could not be required of female students and dress codes changed in public schools across the United States.

Here we go .. change the children, you change a generation.

Even today, there will not be a single woman or a school girl who will wear pants in my home town. I have never seen in my entire schooling nor in my college (which is nearly 10 yrs back) and even today, not a single girl wears a pant in my native town.

I wonder how Satan has cleverly introduced an abomination totally unnoticed and that abomination is now completely accepted dressing among all.

If all Christians had read the Bible properly and defended Scripture, it this would have not began in 1972. Too late we have to see and live with this abomination.

Sometimes I just need to shake my head...

Yes, this is a woman wearing men's clothing. Far different than women wearing woman's clothing, which I have pictured below:

Note the difference? NOBODY would mistake these individuals for anything but women, wearing feminine attire.

A community does set the standard for modest dress. Should Felix, my brother in the Lord, ever invite my husband and I for tea, I would be sure to write to Mrs. Felix and ask her what would be appropriate attire in their community. Should Felix and Mrs. Felix ever come to Idaho, they will be more than welcome... and people dress pretty much however they want around here... I'm sure Mrs. Felix's standard of modesty will be more than enough to guide her in this area.
