Jesus requires believing to be saved, then that makes believing part of Christ's law therefore those that do not obey the law by believing will be condemned Mk 16:16.
Yet Jesus did not stop with requiring believing and nothing else but also required repentance, Lk 13:3 confession MAtt 10:32,33 and baptism Mk 16:16 making these also part of Christ's NT law and failure to obey these laws leads to condemnation. Jesus spake far more word that what is found in Jn 5:24 and the words 'believe only" are not in Jn 5:24.
You post "I'd suggest you worry about your own works and not worry so much about condemning others for theirs."
People CONDEMN THEMSELVES by not obeying Christ's NT law and I am encouraging people to quit condemning themselves but submit unto the will of God.
That's only how "you see it." Those who have called upon Jesus to save them, ARE saved. Those who's own hearts abide in condemnation, will fall into it, headlong, themselves.
Luke 6:37
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Sounds easy, but is it? Apparently the heart can easily be baited into doing otherwise.
