Worst movies of all time list

Then you must tell me what you thought of "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes."

I believe it is a monumental injustice that that film won no Oscars

Killer Klowns is the type of movie that was made on a shoe-string budget, but is both intentionally and unintentionally hilarious. If by "worst" movies, you mean most ill-concieved, worst acting, or worst production, then I'll agree with popular opinion and concede Plan 9 from Outer Space was the worst film ever, but Plan 9 was certainly enjoyable and funny in its badness.
This is exactly what I was talking about earlier. There are 2 ratings for movies.

1. Film - acting, camera work, directing, plot, writing and everything like that.

2. Movie - is it fun to watch, whether by laughing at it or actually enjoying what is intentionally being put forth by the director.

I have friends that don't appreciate movies, they take things too seriously. Gigli is a great example of this, as a film it was one of the worst films ever, but it is absolutely hilarious to watch it and make fun of it. B horror movies are the best for this type of fun. :D Try watching Return of the Living Dead part 2, awesomely bad, they even have a dancing micheal jackson zombie. :-D

BTW - I disagree with you Chuacabra about Donnie Darko. The movie does make absolute sense if you watch the directors cut. I don't know why they cut out so many very important things from the story. It is also interesting to go to the web site and look at their explaination also, this is of course annoying that you can't get the full story from the theatrical release of the movie.

The only zombie movie I laughed harder during was Dead Alive

I kind of liked Killer Clown from Outer Space. I know it was a retarded movie, but I liked it.

'Dude Where's My Car' was pretty awful.

Interesting, I thought it was so stupid it was funny...kind of like Napoleon Dynamite (of course that movie was stupid in a different way).

I have another one to add to the list.

Sin city...I don't advise any Christians to see it at all. The plot was rediculous. The entire point was people stink, but there is beauty in all of us. The problem is the presented it in the most vile, pornographic and violent portrayal possible. The camera work was good, but the movie was just not enjoyable at all to watch. I give it a negative 3 stars, it would have been negative 4 except the camera work and carrying out the book like it was written, no matter how bad the book was.

Dracula 2000 was horrible.
If you think that's bad, check out Dracula 3000. Yes, it is a real movie. :sad
Some other bad ones;
The Pit
God Told Me To
Snake King
Curse of the Blue Lights
Jason X

Jason X was really bad. If you couldn't see the "badness" from the trailers it would suprise me. Freddy VS jason was another one that should never have been made too. Wow, who actually puts money into these things and expects a return on their investment???

2. The Passion of the Christ-- Whether Christian or not, I think most people would have agreed that watching a man being beaten for ninety minutes is a meaningless endeavor, but Mel Gibson's oldest friend, Hype, convinced everyone otherwise.

You mentioned that you think "most people would have agreed". I guess that is why it is one of the highest grossing movies of all time. The movie, and "the beating" was not intended to be "enjoyed" by the viewers. However, we are all entitled to our own opinions. My opinion just happens to be that the movie was excellent.

'Dude Where's My Car' was pretty awful.

Rocked!

You want bad movies:
Going Overboard w/ Adam Sandler. I love Adam Sandler, but I think my IQ dropped by about 10 points just watching this movie.

Gosford Park: Oh my gosh! A 2 hour and 18 minute murder (whodunnit) movie. You find out about 2 hrs and 15 minutes into the movie whodunnit. I could have turned it off 2 hrs and 14 minutes into the movie and not cared less. Why did I watch the whole thing to find out? Because my IQ had dropped from watching Going Overboard

Solaris: I watched this only because my wife absolutely loves George Clooney. She wasn't so impressed either.

I would have to agree with solaris, I actually had to shut it off. That has only happened one other time in the last 5 years. That was "Being John Malcovich" I was so incredibly bored I shut it off. I like the Kaufman brothers other movies, but this one was horrible, I don't know why it got such rave reviews, it was painful to watch.

I think we're getting a little loose with our definitions of the 'worst movie of all time'. That doesn't mean movies we dislike or even hate. It means the 'worst'.

I think a movie to be classified as the 'worst' should fit the categories, don't you? We're talking a low budget, a horrific storyline, cheesy special effects and bad acting. An overall mishmash of mess with not to many redeeming qualities.

Titanic and Passion of the Christ may appeal to certain viewers and you are entitled to your opinion as to whether you like it or not...but the worst movies of all time? I don't think so.

Let's be reasonable, shall we folks?

I think those are good guidelines, and that's why I said
"Attack of the Killer Tomatoes."

The point is, bad acting, low budget, horrible storyline and cheesy special effects don't make it a bad "movie", at least by my definition. I have seen some "bad" movies that were awesome to watch because I enjoyed making fun of it with friends. Sometimes we need an absolutely mind numbingly stupid comedy after a hard day at school or work.

Anyway, I started this thread, and I say it is up to the person to decide what is horrible. :D :D :D This thread is for fun, not arguements about what is good and what isn't, it is to be purely personal opinion.

Critics absolutely don't know what they are talking about sometimes, half the movies at the oscars are bad because they are not entertaining. Movies are for entertainment, if intellectual content and artistic interpretation are present, then awesome, even better, but if it isn't fun to watch then it is a worthless movie. "Lost in Translation" is a great example of this, great cinematography, scenery, acting, dialogue, but the movie was flat out boring, not funny and not entertaining. Therefore bad movie.

A lot of the resonses are based on a bias. I admit I do have a few.

I won't watch movies that are.....
1. musicals
2. disney style cartoon movies like Lion King...etc
3. contemporary pop (popular) movies... (ex. teenage style chick flicks)
(dude where's my car & save the last dance... both fit nicely there) unfortunately I had to suffer until I fell asleep for dude where's my car.
4. movies by bad comedians, like adam sandler & steve martin
5. alternate lifestyle movies like for ex.. the birdcage
6. i'm sure i could think of a few more...

Scott, do you watch movies made by pixar, or similar cartoonish movies?

Most of these are really good.

I do agree with the rest of what you said except adam sandler, and only because waterboy was a stupid funny movie. :-D

Scott, do you watch movies made by pixar, or similar cartoonish movies?

No. I realize there are many of you that like those kind of movies and thats great for those of you who enjoy them. I just can't get into them. The only cartoons I can stand are an episode of the Simpsons or King of the Hill on occasion. What sets them apart is that they are only a half hour long and they aren't necessarily geared towards a younger audience (which I'm not... ).

I love King of the Hill, has anyone seen the episode about Bobby being in the Christian youth group??? This episode blew my mind because it was so good. It was one of the only pro Christian themes I have ever seen on TV.

I also like to watch family guy, aqua teen hunger force and futurama, sunday nights on cartoon network rock.

Some of Pixar's movies are pretty well geared to a wide range of audiences, like Shrek or The incredibles. You might give them a try if you haven't seen them before. Very good in my opinion for what that counts :D

I have yet another one to add to the list.

Blade Trinity

Wow, it was amazingly bad. Parker Posey was the main evil vampire queen, first off she isn't gothlike she only looks rediculous and is the exact same charactor as she was in Josie and the Pussycats except goth.

Dialogue was absolutely hilariously bad. Random character's who were not developed at all. One of them was a blind genius who also watches the security cameras, hahahaha. There were also the random people who were only known by the first name and quickly killed much like first named search party members on star trek. Star trek illusions, matrix and many other movies had pieces ripped off and placed in this poo called a movie.

There is also a strong sense of homoerotic undertones with the one liners and "jokes." It isn't so much that it is offensive as much as really bad.

If you want to laugh at a movie for how bad it is, and possibly laughing at things you might feel bad about later this might be for you.

Bad acting, atrocious script and one liners, completely miss cast acting and having the same exact plot of "vampire final solution" make this a stinker that goes straight to the bottom.

1 star, only because there were some ok fight scenes.
