PPS. I think I've said it before - but I think the way to have a successful music career as a performer and walk out of it alive, is to keep it focused on entertaining. Ie, it's about your job, not you.
So you don't sell out your soul, stay true to yourself, but realise it isn't about you, it's about producing a product (or performance) for others to enjoy. That's what they pay you for. To pull that back on to you, can put an awful lot of pressure on you. Because then it becomes you're a failure or a success as opposed to the thing you're producing being a failure or success.
That and don't do anything unethical (ie that will obviously, negativly affect others - like dirt or dishonesty, (or presenting stuff as truth that isn't) because that will always come back on you.
