Bossier Parish,
It is nice in North West Louisiana.
We even have our own Mardi Gras Celebration and Parades, plus the Red River Revel in October.
There is the Red River Boardwalk that always has something going on.
Plenty of nice, sweet, girls of all ages; all dispositions and mental capacities.
So, if you like a smart blonde with a good figure; or a dumb brunette that is slightly trashy, or anywhere in between - you can have your pick.
Except for the very hot summers, I would say North West Louisiana is a sort of a Paradise.
Most visitors coming here just do it for the Casinos (best food around for the cheapest price), but with all the forest, lakes, and parks, plus affordable housing - it is a shame that visitors don't see the real Louisiana.
The recession hasn't hit here too much.
The best thing about Louisiana is its People, just keep an open mind and see what is going on, and you will know why Cajun and other people now say all over Louisiana,
"Laissez les bon temps roule!", which means "Let the Good Times Roll!"
Phonetically, "Laissez les bon temps roule" is pronounced, "lay-say lay bawn tawmp ru-lay"
You see we in Louisiana know how to have a good time and for the most part adopted the New Orleans attitude (The Big Easy) of being laid back.
Now that I have played the part of a Travel Guide, I have only one thing to say:
Y'all Come Back, You Hear?
I talk without a Southern accent, I guess due to the fact that I grew up in front of a TV and spoke like our Northern counterparts. But there are a lot of people in North West Louisiana that speak with a Southern drawl or a Texas twang.
I still think it is cute when a beautiful girl speaks with a Southern accent, but don't think they are dumb for speaking in that slow Southern draw, they can be professionals with advanced degrees.
If you ever come back to Louisiana, get into the people and whatever you are doing with them - then you will Love Louisiana and feel right at home, whether it is in the South, or the North.
