Maybe some kind of device that will actually allow you to be swapped into another person's body? If that's the case I think that I would rather keep my own body thank you very much. Michael74, I think that this topic is right up your alley.
Robots helping with the housework seem like a good idea. One brain for several robots may save money.
I can't post in the lounge for some reason. I need a computer fixing robot.[/QUOTE
Really? That's strange, did you alert the staff by any chance? Anyways yes, I figured that you would probably find that interesting. However this robot also appears to literally get inside your minds and swap bodies. I wonder what it would be like if humans could do that.
The latestist is uploading ones self into a hard drive/memory stick or into the cloud.

Whether this will become posible and what affect it will have on ones mind could be alarming.
One issue not raised here is the question of who owns that uploaded self and what can or will be done to protect it from mind altering 'viruses'.
Personally, I think that uploading stuff is silliness. Your soul stays with your body, and your soul is the real you. Your soul returns to the Lord at the appointed time. Doesn't matter what is on some computer. That isn't you. That is just a machine.

As I said, 'the effect on ones mind...' many people could be shocked, surprised that all they have is a simulation of their loved one. I've no doubt many would rather have that then go through the grieving process, but I think this would be a false comfort, as their loved one has died and been burried yet they are still talking to a robot version .
Then who owns this entity, currently we don't own what is stored on the cloud and what about mind altering viruses?
