Just a couple big sharks hanging around the dock today. I didn't want to catch it on my gear because it would just spool my line but my buddy hooked it up, fully locked up on 37kg braid and was getting smoked, but still got it in. Would have been over 300lb.

My friend is a nut case as well, as soon as it got to the dock he jumped on it in the water and gave it a wrestle he wanted his hook back. Lol.

I would have let the shark keep the hook. Hooks are not that expensive. As a matter of fact, I don't think I would have hooked the shark in the first place.

That is why fish hooks are not stainless steel so they can rust out over time in a fish mouth.

It was not a protected species, and the only reason people have a cry about sharks is because of the foreign comms that catch thousands and cut of there fins and then throw them back alive, all that just for some shark fin soup. Its disgusting and disgraceful.

Catch and release is ok, or at least if the whole fish is not actually going to go to waste and feed people if prepared correctly because they have a lot of mercury in them especially the bigger ones.

All we did was catch and release. No harm done to the shark. Right now the shark is just chilling out somewhere in the ocean having a good time and lived another day.

If research doesn't support the efficacy of homework, there is no reason to demand such long days of children. 8 hours in school is enough for youngsters. They don't need 8 in school plus another 3 at home. Especially since much of what grade schools teach isn't all that useful in the job market to begin with. What employer really cares if their employees can recite the names of all 50 state capitals?

Poor fishy. I hope they clean up the pollution so people don't drink it.

I volunteer to be one of the people that billionaire gives $1 million to. :)

May the Lord bless you.

I agree one hundred percent with everything that you have to say. I think that too much homework is stressful for kids and that they should have more time to play with their friends. I'm on the fence whether they should completely cut out homework or not though. I guess that there really isn't any need for it. Just let kids be kids.

Stop with the fake news. She was not declined for "being gay", the same rules apply for everyone, many straight people in the same situation get declined. This country is one of a limited few that do accept gay marriage and people still have a victim cry. Get over it you idiots.

Fake news. It has nothing to do with being homosexual.

Andrew has Medicare. He still got a bill for $25K from the hospital, and another for 5K from his surgeon. Tricky wording by legal eagles in the hospital's billing department allowed this. He was in the hospital for 2 days post surgery, but they say he was never admitted to the hospital.

Dr Andrew Taylor said:
General anesthesia, major surgery, two nights on a surgical ward and not admitted? My wife and I are both physicians, but neither of us had any clue that this could be the case.

This guy is a doctor, and still had no idea how hospitals bill Medicare patients. What chance does a mere civilian have in dealing with these billing office lawyers? Do seniors have to hire a lawyer to follow them into the hospital and check over every single thing that is done?

Hey everybody, I just wanted to let all of you know that there won't be any news today. So have a wonderful rest of the day and God bless. :biggrin

Often skills you don't think you need for a job are.

Geopolitical ignorance ,how many political votes received by sheer ignorance of what a Muslim is,who a new is.

If all school does is to prepare one for work,
Why have sports ,arts,music .history

Can't have critical thinking either .as those above I,listed involve that.local history of the mass murder of the Seminoles ,blacks still affect my,area.

Why learn about the holocaust ?don't need that either .

That's a good point but you made me just think about another point. Why is there such a big push on college nowadays? I didn't go to college and I'm doing just fine. Some people like me just aren't college material anyways.

Plenty of jobs require work in an apprentice level simply are low pay ,set up,to weed out those who can't ,and also unwilling,to,wait.

Many tire shops have a program like the above .one could make more at a fast food joint.

You don't start at a high level pay as an apprentice in plumbing ,electrician, lineman .im aware that college isn't for all.this my statement about the arts.can't fix it if you can't do math

Yeah but my point is that I do believe that classes should be divided up into two categories of kids who actually care about going to college and are preparing for it and or wanting to go versus kids who aren't and who only care about getting a high school diploma or a GED. Otherwise what's the use of forcing children to learn things that they're never going to use in life. :shrug(The same can be said about school in general even though I realize I sound like a broken record on this one.)

Life forces you to learn things.

So your electrician should have poor grammar ,be ignorant of history .

I,hope kids you,say should my vote at all.

Case in point ,the Pentagon papers ,the Afghanistan papers .lies told of why we are winning wars.I had to read up on a lot and still do.I spent time learming. About. the utilities I work for.voting issue on it.I read up on,things .the media would have us believe Iran is the defender ,when its always been the opposite since 79.

Trust me you can't physically turn or do heavy physical work passed 55 as easily . a coworker left turning wrenches after 55 for that reason .he has a b.a in psychology .sometimes you must leave a field .I'm pondering a new career .you will not have the same job for 20 or 30,or even field.not even in,the military .I joined the guard after being cav, became air defense ,military police both types ,then truck driving . I was forced into meter reading . so learning is something that should be encouraged, don't think that you won't need it in car repairs .that's a close field .I had to know the dc circutry.

I was taught typing ,where is a typist today ?where is the janitor ?a dying field ,same with the postman and even ups isn't safe .
