Uncured bacon/sausage exists. Much sausage is sweetened with corn syrup. Avoid that. Try and find unsweetened sausage/bacon. Read your ingredients. Stop eating toast/bisquits. No hash browns unless it is cauliflower hash browns. No orange juice unless fresh squeezed. 5 days or more a week I skip breakfast and lunch. This morning my breakfast is 1 cup of coffee as it is most mornings.
Yikes !!!
Orange juice has more sugar that Coca-Cola.

I try and stay away from all fruits except berries. I just put the orange juice info because so many insist on drinking it. I will eat an occasional banana or some apple slices. I am hearing papaya fruit/leaves/root have tremendous holistic attributes.

Fruits are good for you, just accompany them with the appropriate amount of activity! (Notice I didn't say "exercise" ? LOL)

Oh well...you have every excuse you need to "die young".
For myself, I want to live as long as possible, with both my feet and both of my eyes intact.
It is a fight that is winnable, and I am winning...by the grace and mercy of God.
Just would rather have advice I can work with than brow beating I guess

Last night I was having some really dark thoughts.....like, I'm not going to do anything. But I was thinking like, well, if it ever comes to me developing severe complications.....I feel like I'd rather make an early exit than to die of whatever horrible complications I develop.
Not that I want it to come to that. And I'm less depressed today, actually I had an excellent day at work and I even bought myself a healthy meal.

There is nothing in fruit you can't get elsewhere without the harmful fructose. Though grapefruit has a valuable nutrient as does papaya.

I walked the dogs today, so got my exercise in. And I ate the rest of my healthy meal from yesterday.
But with the way my log's been going, I'm thinking when I see the dr in a couple days I'll be put on that second medication.

I'm working my way toward a 5 hour window in which to eat. I have been maintaining a six hour daily (week days only) window for a few months now.

Does your doctor know about this plan?
It is actually better to eat small meals multiple times a day.
Getting actual healthcare for me is practically non-existent. For instance, when I went in for a kidney stone, they gave me no pain meds and no blood pressure meds even though I was in the 225/125 range. My wife finally got them to give me pain meds after a few hours. I lay on the floor saying "please Father" over and over again.
Fasting allows the internal organs to rest and heal. My inflammation in my abdomen subsided significantly through fasting. If your pancreous is not having to constantly dump insulin into the blood stream, it can heal up and keep one from sliding into Type 1. By fasting 12 hours, you can reach ketosis (fat burning). 14 hours is recommended. I go 18 hours and want to reach 20 hrs at 1 meal a day followed by one snack. There is a super fasting condition where the body begins clean up and removal of toxins as it scavenges the body. I think it's called apophagy (or something like that). You begin to reach that at about 14-16 hrs fasting. At 18 hrs I reach both.

Why? If it isn't too personal...

Sounds harsh to me.
It also sounds like the root of your problem is the inflammation.

Been a while since I gave an update.
Dr will check my A1C in two months and if it's higher than the last one (which was 7.3 I think), then he wants me to take insulin once a day in the evening. I don't like that.

My mom started taking a product called Adrenoplex and she says ever since her blood sugars have stayed under 120. I asked my dr about trying it and he said it won't hurt and if it does help me that's a bonus. So I'm going to buy some.

Well. My A1C was 6.9, so no insulin for now. But I'm doing terribly on the diet front right now.
6.9 isn't too bad.
Better than my last A1C test. 7.1, I think?
When the diet is bad ramp up the exercise.
It is a balancing act for diabetics.
Take that dog for more walks in that Georgia heat and humidity. (Being careful of the dog's feet on hot pavement/sidewalks, of course)
Or just play a bit of fetch in the yard.
It will benefit both of you.

Diet is the least of a type 1 diabetics problems.

If by eating a healthy diet you can avoid degrading into a type 1 you will save your self a lot of literal pain.

My daughter is type1 and she has the delightful pleasure of sticking pins/needles into her self a minimal of six yes 6 times a day.

So the next time you feel like eating a takeaway or other rubbish.
First stick a pin into a finger and draw blood, no blood do it again untill you've draw blood. Then stick another pin into your tummy and keep it there for a slow count to ten.
This is simulating what every type 1 does after every meal.
Still fancy not sticking to a healthy diet?

Type1 diabetics risk damage to there circulatory system, which causes eyesight problems and a high risk of gangrene in there feet.
The regular stabbing if lancets into fingers causes nerve damage, they loose the feeling in there fingers. Risk infections due to the repeated piercing of their skin.

So take my advice, eat a healthy diet, join weight watchers or some other system that helps you loose weight.

Practical advice, dump your large dinner plates and eat from smaller tea plates, have one helping, cut down, sorry reject processed food, because as a type 1 you will be doing this and more.

It is your choice change or learn to stab your self after every meal.
