But the comment was about death if one is found with a Bible. Of course a devout family would probably be upset if they found a Bible in the house, but that is a long, long way from murder.

Hi efebarakyan.

Welcome to the Forum.

You will know that our actions are judged by their intentions.

Wanting to become a Christian in order that you may love, and serve, the Exalted better than you can as a Muslim - and I am one - would be acceptable to Him; since He desires belief; submission to His will; and good works.

All who act in this way - be they Christian, Jew or Muslim - are counted among the 'best of creation'; and are promised their reward (you know this from the Qur'an, of course).

Your task now - as you appear to know - is to discover all you can about Christianity, and what is required of a Christian, and then to act according to your conscience.

May the Exalted guide you to - and along - the path He has chosen for you....be that what it may.

No, they feared for their own life as some Muslim clerics equate this as an apostasy to treason being a crime punishable by death.

Some Muslim clerics may think this punishable by death, just as I'm certain that some Christian clergy would recommend death if a Quran was found in someone's home. There are hateful radicals in every group.

The Muslims that I know wouldn't even consider harming anyone. They are great people!

I'm not saying all Muslims are bad people, but yet that which comes against their religion is punishable by death becoming infidels in their eyes if you have ever read the Quran. You will never find this in true Christianity.

I am a Muslim but I want to learn Christianity. I want to chat with someone about christianity. i think i want to be a christian

Jesus Christ is the way.

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

That is true of some Christians, unfortunately. There are violent Christians, just as there are violent Muslims.

Are you saying there are true Christians that actually murder others of different religions?
Well you can start with the crusades...

Also, the current violence against Muslims in this country is sometimes perpetrated by people who call themselves "Christians". They, or course, don't follow Christ's teachings.

2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Not only in the last days, but way back beginning with the Babylonian Empire up to the revived Roman Empire who have always persecuted those of God's own, but I digress as that is a topic of it's own.

i am sorry. i dont speak english. a little.. i am muslim but i m very curious about jesus.
i want to know jesus. why? i don't know. my religion is so threatening and furious. but i think jesus is not like them

Yes, some Muslim clerics. That doesn't mean all Muslim clerics. I live in a community where Muslims, Christians, and Jews live comfortably together.
Hey, I'm only repeating what other Muslims have told me that even their own father could put them to death just for having a Bible as they have to carefully hide them. Just because you live among them it doesn't mean you know what goes on behind closed doors.

Might I suggest you start with the Book of John in the New Testament of the Bible as this will help teach you about who Jesus is and what our relationship to Him is all about. Please do not hesitate in asking us questions.

Ditto for_his_glory's recommendation.

Here's a little information about Jesus.

A lawyer, asked Him (Jesus) a question, testing Him, and saying, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 22:35-40 NKJV

We believe that Jesus is/was God incarnate or God in the flesh as the Scriptures tell us in Matthew, chapter 1, verse 23. “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

The gospel message from Jesus is that through Him and Him alone we can have eternal life for He said,
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6 NKJV

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17 NKJV

Keep searching and learning.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV

Just so you know, the words in red are the words of Jesus as recorded in the Holy Bible.
