God's Word And Your Condition

When you have a condition in your body it's important that you see what the word says about it. And when you find out what the word says about it then it's important that you believe it and speak in line with it. Take for instance Samson's parents in Judges 13 2 And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not. 3 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. 4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: 5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. 6 Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he was, neither told he me his name: 7 But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death. 8 Then Manoah intreated the Lord, and said, O my Lord, let the man of God which thou didst send come again unto us, and teach us what we shall do unto the child that shall be born. Notice, how they believed that word that they got from The Lord and notice how they spoke after they got that word. She was barren and yet God sent a word that she would have a son because God is not limited by your condition. When God releases his word it is able to do in spite of any contrary conditions.

Take Abraham and his wife Sarah in Genesis 17 God said to him, "As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. Now, at that time his name was Abram and God said unto him, " Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. And in verse 15 it says And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. Abram mean high father and Abraham means Father of a multitude and Sarai means my princess and Sarah means Princess of nations. Now, when God said those things in Romans 4:19 it says, 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb. So, they had conditions that were contrary to what God said, two dead bodies can't have a child. But, notice what God did He had them speak in line with what He said and not in line with their conditions. And as you saw in Romans 4:19 it says that Abraham was strong in faith and in Hebrews 11:11 it says, Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. They put their faith in God's word over the conditions of their bodies and they spoke in line with God's word.

How about Mary in Luke 1 an angel appeared to her and said, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. That was already prophesied back in Isaiah 7:14, Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. And after talking to the angel you see Mary said, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word." And the angel departed from her. Because the transaction was complete, once she believed and spoke the word his job was done. And we know she believed because her cousin Elisabeth said in verse 45, " And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord." But look at how they spoke, 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. 43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. 50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. 51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. 53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. 54 He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; 55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. And we know what happened in Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Notice, against all natural odds, the word still worked. I mean a virgin with no man and still the word worked. A side note notice in Luke 1 when the angel appeared to Elisabeth's husband and told him that their prayer was heard and that Elisabeth would have a son he didn't believe and asked for a sign. And the angel said, And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season. Notice, he couldn't trust his speech. Well, what happened 57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. 58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. 59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father. 60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John. 61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name. 62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called. 63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all. 64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.

That's what God says in Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Notice, it says that his word will not return to him void, but it shall accomplish that which He pleases. So, how does his word return to him when you speak it. So, it's the word in your mouth that accomplishes for you. Notice, in Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. You make your way prosperous by the word in your mouth. Notice, in Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Confession means to say the same thing. And salvation doesn't just mean being born again it also means healing, deliverance, wholeness, preservation. Notice, how you get those things by believing the word with your heart and saying what God said. That's what Jesus said in Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess that Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen

What about those of great faith and believe the word of God for their healing, but it never comes? I know everything is in God's timing, but yet that healing never comes and progresses worse, even unto death.

When you have a condition in your body it's important that you see what the word says about it. You notice in every single case you mention, God spoke personally to those people. They didn’t take some words out of scripture and claim it describes them. They heard the voice of God to them. How many do that when they’re facing difficulty or otherwise?

The ways of God in healing are complex, but it’s never a matter of finding the verse you like deciding it describes you. There’s no power behind one claiming a verse sans God giving it.

Otherwise we see Jesus healed differently with different people. There’s no one size fits all, all the time.

Most people who are seeking healing read the scripture "by His stripes we are healed" and claim that for their healing as it is a truth. But yet many do not receive healing in their body no matter how great a faith they have in Christ. God's healing is not complex as there is nothing to hard for Him to do.

Was asking Frank Broom this question, but anyone can answer. Just wanted to hear his answer.

You yourself says that they aren’t healed after claiming they can be. Since nothing is too hard for God, what’s the hold-up? The answer is it’s complex. Jesus didn’t heal people all the same way. That means it’s complex.

Then just read his post.

Just saying it is complex does not answer the question I was asking. I would love to know why some get healing and others do not as it doesn't have anything to do with others just saying they do not have enough faith or that something in their life is blocking the healing. I'm talking about people with great faith and are walking in obedience to God.

"Speak in line with it" . What do you mean exactly by that statement ?

I did not say they didn’t have faith. You can read what I wrote and I didn’t say that. I said IT IS COMPLEX, which you rejected. If you really want to know why the believing that scripture did NOT result in them being healed, you’re going to have grapple with the answer being COMPLEX. There is no one size fits all answer.

I know a fair bit about Gods ways but I hesitate to share. You’re not going to like the answer if you didn’t like “complex.”

Find a scripture and claim it for yourself sans the Holy Spirit, I assume. But keep in mind the one poster has not been healed of his bike accident damage so it doesn’t appear to work very well. Even Fhg knows people who strongly believed and weren’t healed.

For what it is worth, I’ve asked God for healing and seen and been healed and the ways were as different as what one sees in the New Testament. Sometimes people had to do something. Sometimes they didn’t. One guy got mud rubbed in his blind eyes. Paul needed no mud pack. Some did nothing. Sometimes Jesus rebuked something. Sometimes he said only a word or two. It is complex.

But “find a scripture you like and name it” has never been a way in my experience. But that’s just me. Others might have different experiences in this complex matter.

Dorothy Mae first of all thank you for taking the time to read this post. I myself had something come against my body and I myself did exactly what I wrote in this post and I received my healing. But, if you want a Bible example how about the woman with the issue of blood when she said, "If I may touch, but his clothes I shall be whole", where did she get that from Malichi 4:2 the Sun of righteousness(Jesus) shall arise with healing in his wings (referring to his garment).

You’re welcome. This happened for you once. What do you tell all the others who do this and don’t get healed? How do you know you didn’t just heal naturally? People do heal naturally. Have you prayed for others who were instantly healed?

It is really important to think about experiences and events that are outside of what we experienced if we are to help people. It is great that you feel that God healed you. for_his_glory knows people of great faith who were not and is asking questions. This is good as she is seeing reality as it is and wondering where the disconnect is. This is what one has to do if one is going to offer help to others. That is, not merely saying it has to work and closing the eyes as to when it did not. Its not helpful to say "it worked for me once in my life."

The problem is, of course, the "it" in that sentence. If "it" did not work as believed it would, that "it" does not match reality. There is a thinking that DOES match reality and encompasses the experiences of others too. That is what people are looking for which is actually called truth. Perhaps this is foreign to some but I am trained to think as a scientist and we match theory to reality in the search for learning how reality functions, at least sometimes in some people.

Faith healing is an ability to scam people into believing some person has power from God.

The same applies for anyone, who gives their own testimony ( and not the testimony of Christ instead) that they also had such strong faith and were healed.

In both cases it is manipulation, because every single thing in this world is designed by satan to fool the simple.

If a person has illness, so that they could not recover, what is the difference to the path the Lords Apostles were on, which was fated to all be murdered ?

If a person is young, yet does not have a lot of time to live, when they find out they are ill, or if some sort of fate ends that life. What is the difference to the Son of Gods life, ( even at birth they sent murderers after Him) and all of that life ( in troubles) was waiting for the fulfillment of the same murderers achieving their aim of murdering the Messiah ?

That is what it means to follow Jesus and His Apostles, you take no concern for your life, and the faith healers, and those who claim they are miraculously healed, have no purpose any more, as with God, you do not need those peoples words.

Luke 12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

Jesus heals our heart through His stripes, which means we do not trust in the lies people tell( remember satan is cunning and real and really wants to destroy us by any means/ uses people to even betray us.) so we focus ONLY ON HIM, suffering for us, and the ones who do not believe in Jesus, show they DO NOT BELIEVE IN SUFFERING..

2 Corinthians 1:5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

Colossians 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

I gather you’ve never prayed for some who was healed.

I gather you’ve never prayed for some who was healed.
Matthew 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Proverbs 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

If God truly intended for us to "faith heal" ourselves and others, think it would be able to be found in scripture without having to do lots of cherry-picking and rationalization
