1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. (Matt. 24:1-2 KJV)
If a rebuilt temple was a sign of the end-time, then Jesus would have squeezed that prophecy into the context. "Not one stone upon another" or "state of total-destruction and non-use" is the sign of the end-time and that sign persists to this day.
Confirming this, Paul never called the Jewish Temple "the temple of God" after he converted to Christ. He certainly wouldn't have called a temple built in the end-time by Christ rejecting Jews (or Antichrist) "the temple of God" (2 Th. 2:3-4)!
Some believe the Christ's reference to the "abomination of desolation" in Daniel 12:11 require the Temple be rebuilt:
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand )
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the (Matt. 24:15-16 KJV)
However, notice what Christ (or the Holy Spirit) inserted: "whoso readeth, let him understand (Matt. 24:15). Why would Jesus ask readers [in the end-time] be granted understanding? The New Covenant in Christ's Blood changed the application of these terms because in the end-time the "Temple of God" and "Daily Sacrifice" would not be found in Christ rejecting Judaism.
If the "Abomination of Desolation" and "Daily Sacrifice" involved Judaism, Daniel would have understood these words clearly. He was an expert in all things Judaism.
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. (Dan. 12:7-13 KJV)
Daniel couldn't understand because time sealed the words: "Temple of God" "Daily Sacrifice" and "Abomination of Desolation" have new application in the New Covenant of Christ's blood:
The "saints" now include the greater "Israel of God" (Gal. 6:15-16), Jew and Gentile descendants of Abraham's seed (Gal. 3:27-29). The Temple priesthood and Daily Sacrifice are in the Christian Church. The Church is the Temple of God (1 Cor. 3:16-17; 6:19; 2 Cor. 6:16; Eph. 2:21), Christians its priests (1 Pet. 2:5). We offer up "the Daily Sacrifice" (1 Pet. 2:5; Rom. 12:1; Lk. 9:23; Heb. 13:15).
The New Testament church has the "holy priesthood, to offer up "spiritual sacrifices" (πνευματικὰς θυσίας) acceptable to God" (1 Pet. 2:5). Christians "offer (399 ἀναφέρω anaphero) sacrifice (2378 θυσία thusia)" to God, the same word used in the Greek Septuagint to offer (399 ἀναφέρω anaphero) the "daily" (08548 תָּמִיד tamiyd) 1 Ch. 16:40; 23:31; 2 Ch. 2:3; 24:14 in the Hebrew version.
The Christian daily sacrifice is offered "continually" (1275 διαπαντός) to God. In Hebrews 13:1-17 the ethical exhortations being an expansion of the acceptable duties priests offer God daily (Heb. 12:28 λατρεύωμεν εὐαρέστως τῷ θεῷ).
Christ is our perpetual sacrifice for sin (Heb. 10:11-18), the daily sacrifice to Him is our "taking up the cross daily". The "apostasy" or "great revolt" that "takes away" (Dan. 12:11 05493 סוּר cuwr; 868 ἀφίστημι) the sacrifice is receiving the false Christ man of sin as "the Christ". Then the end time "week" of seven-years begins.

The Third Temple: Does scripture anticipate a future Jewish Temple? | End Time News
The First Temple built by King Solomon was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar about 586 BC. The Second Temple replaced it only to be destroyed in 70 AD by the Romans. The Third Temple has yet to be built. Many believe Bible prophecy implies a Third Temple will take its place in the End Time. The argument
