God is a holy spirit .what about the angels, are they holy spirits as well?Scriptures that refer the Holy Spirit as being God:
He does have standards yes but that is not the point the point is that the scripture you posted and the meaning of it was not what the verse is sayingsome he likes some he dont
Matthew 7:21-23 ESV
matthew 7 :4 ''Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. ''
if you have been deceived and have failed to correct to the way he likes you are a walking dead man. there are standards to keep
First of all a spirit has no form, but can take on different forms as God gives for the purpose of His ministry.God is a holy spirit .what about the angels, are they holy spirits as well?
And how does one become holy and blameless before him?First of all a spirit has no form, but can take on different forms as God gives for the purpose of His ministry.
The Bible classifies some angels as “elect” (1 Timothy 5:21) or “holy” (Matthew25:31; Mark 8:38). All angels were created to be holy, enjoying the presence of God (Matthew 18:10) and the beauty of heaven (Mark13:32).
It's the same with God's created people that we are to be holy and without blame before Him, Ephesians 1:1-12.
It's all accomplished through the Spiritual rebirth we read about in John 3:5-7 and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit taught in Acts chapter 2 as we learn to die to self and live for Christ. The book of John teaches us about our relationship with Christ and Acts 2 teaches us about the Holy Spirit. To be holy and blameless before God is to seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God, Colossians 3:1-17.And how does one become holy and blameless before him?
Well said you are exactly correct, some would argue it is obedience that makes it so but if odebience was enough to be blameless and pure in his sight then Jesus would not have had to die for usIt's all accomplished through the Spiritual rebirth we read about in John 3:5-7 and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit taught in Acts chapter 2 as we learn to die to self and live for Christ. Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
you may like to think soHe does have standards yes but that is not the point the point is that the scripture you posted and the meaning of it was not what the verse is saying
And that is what we call a contradictionNo, Jesus is God. He became man. He died and God raised Him from the dead. One person, God and man
I do not believe that a supernatural being called Satan enters into the narrative. Rather God created the serpent with intelligence and the ability to speak in order to try Adam and Eve, with the aim to educate and mature them and bring them to trust in God and his word. Jesus also alludes to Genesis 3:1 in his following comment:At which point in Genesis 3:1 Is it speaking of a snake and at which point is it speaking of the actions of Satan?
Where, exactly, is the contradiction? And that is what we call a contradiction
It isn't that I think it it says clear as day what it is is saying you just want it to say something else show me where in the verse it says what your saying if you can that is.you may like to think so
Are you unaware that there would be false teachers in our time?It isn't that I think it it says clear as day what it is is saying you just want it to say something else show me where in the verse it says what your saying if you can that is.
Because frankly you would have to add to it in order for it to say something else but by all means please do so if your confident it says what you think it does
Of course not, but your eveading my challenge can you or can you not show where in that scripture it says what you say it does? Are you unaware that there would be false teachers in our time?
Also I am wondering what false teacher you are refering to.Are you unaware that there would be false teachers in our time?
Are you supposed to be challenging me ?Of course not, but your eveading my challenge can you or can you not show where in that scripture it says what you say it does?
one that comes to mind is David Koresh,,Marshall Applewhite,,, there are many moreAlso I am wondering what false teacher you are refering to.
''No, Jesus is God. He became man. He died and God raised Him from the dead. One person, God and man''Where, exactly, is the contradiction?
All I am saying is that if your going to make a claim for something you need to be able to back it up since you clearly cannot or will not I can only assume that it is merely your opinion not actual fact or truthAre you supposed to be challenging me ?
All I am saying is that if your going to make a claim for something you need to be able to back it up since you clearly cannot or will not I can only assume that it is merely your opinion not actual fact or truth
To the human mind maybe. But that's a human limitation in understanding not a fault in scripture. And that is what we call a contradiction
