Always glad to have you double-check my understanding of GW. Thanks.
I added "apostate" only recently as the result of discussions on another forum.
The verse that indicates the possibility of never having truly believed is 1JN 2:19 in #d.
Messiah/Savior is kerygmatic, but Lord indicates an ongoing didachaic sanctification.
Yes, some people prefer cheap grace by deemphasizing the latter.
The accusation of believing in works salvation is what prompted the insight shared previously:
[[There is no qualitative difference between faith that accepts God’s saving grace at conversion and faith that accepts God’s working grace or motivates good works while walking/living (Eph. 2:8-10, 2Cor. 5:7), but only a quantitative difference as each additional moment passes–and of course faith remains non-meritorious during the saint’s entire lifetime (Rom. 1:17). IOW, the ability to do good works as well as have saving faith are both due to God’s grace.]]
When Paul referred to filthy rags, he was not meaning the fruit of the Spirit.
Actually, instead of saying we "must" obey God, I say that genuine Christians indwelt by the HS "will" cooperate with God and reflect His love.
I guess you and JLB have figured out that I use the term "didache" to refer to secondary teachings as indicated by the Scriptures I cited.

Forgive or your sins will not be forgiven.
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 6:14-15
Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.
“So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” Matthew 18:32-35
If we die in our sins because we refuse to forgive others then we are just as those who are without Christ who do not have their sins forgiven.
