:toofunny....I could not answer some of those questions because they did not have my answer in the multiple choice, but I am the coolest Chistian alive today.

I just know it :) I'm so hip people ask me for advise on how to be a cool christian. I can't help it, but I'm having trouble with modesty and humility. :chin

I got a 37, officially a Hipster Laggard...not hip at all.

Confirms what my kids have been telling me all along.

Ya, you cool, bro. :shades

I knew I was in trouble with the multiple choices when they added "musty smell" to my choice of a place to worship. Hey, we have the stained glass, pews...no musty smell though. I'll have to tell my pastor we're lacking.

36!!!

Yes am exactly who I think I am! OH YEAH BABY! :thumbsup

Little disappointed. I'd hoped that I could score a bit lower than Dora. I mean she is pretty hip if you ask me. I was honestly aiming for the low 20s maybe the teens.

And seriously some of the answers were to hip for me. Like the skinny jean one... There wasn't a "I want to have children one day so I avoi anything that impedes my ability to have them" or my favorite "I'm not gay." Same with music. I have never heard of any of those groups... I was looking for a bluegrass gospel band and there wasn't one... So I had to put the last answer.

Welp... back to listening to country and playing Texas Hold'em. Lemme know if you got another quiz I just love these things!

Being a hipster is bad right? I've only ever used the word to describe people I dislike... :lol Heck I don't even like using the word "hipster" it's to cool for me. I prefer "whipper-snapper" and a few words which would probably get me in trouble on here. I'm into the whole it's not 'cool to be cool' but I don't go into the whole 'nonconformist' thing because I dislike them just as much.

I'm more of a "mossy-oak Christian" if I really had to quantify it! Man I like that... "mossy-oak Christian"... Has a ring to it that says "You can't see me but Jesus can 'cause not even mossy-oak can fool him!" :toofunny

Low CHQ. You probably belong to the purpose-driven, seeker-sensitive, Hawaiian shirt-wearing Christian establishment, even though you are open to some of the "rethinking Christianity" stuff. You seem to like edginess in some measure but become uneasy when your idea of Christian orthodoxy is challenged by some renegade young visionary who claims the virgin birth isn't necessary.

LOL mostly true, although the options I wanted weren't there for half the questions.

Laggard. You hardly even register on the CHQ scale. But fear not: This is not necessarily a negative thing. Your Christian faith is refreshingly independent of zeitgeisty movements, styles, and reinventions.

It's not a fair quiz though. Some of their choices aren't very good.

yeah, the quiz isn't that great. I was kind of upset that I scored "high." I'm really not a big fan of hipsterdom; it seems so shallow and narcissistic, I just don't see how it could mesh with traditional Christianity. But maybe its not all bad....

yeah right, i dont care for warren.

loaded question and the presenter of them is quite anti-christian in nature.

If I'm understanding the concept of a true 'hipster Christian', hipsters generally identify more with Plato and Socrates than say a Luther, Augustine, Calvin, or Aquinas.

More of a 'Secular Humanist' versus an 'Evangelical Christian' at heart.

Prefers a tribe over a church community.

In my view generally liberal secularist (or humanist), or spiritual, versus spirit filled (and led) born again Christian. The guy mentions on his blog that a hipster Christian usually smokes clove cigarettes (among other things).

There's the YRR movement, which is essentially a liberal movement of tattooed beer drinking wanna-be philosophers, a cross between Timothy Leary and John Calvin - I would also classify them as 'hipsters', Christian - don't know.

I got this score.

I'm not purpose-driven, nor do I ware Hawaiian shirts.
I personally think this quiz is a bit sugar-coated because it didn't have many of the older Christian artist like "The Gather Vocal Band," And "Gorge Beverly Sha."

Plus, some of the questions didn't have vary good choices. I voted one Democrat in the last elecction, and that was the current governor of Arkansas.

Oh please, Lush and Glen beck the Anti-Christ? That's about as silly as saying the Rapture occurred before Adam and Eve Sinned.

I'll be more than happy to tell you who the real Anti-Christ is. The real Anti-Christ is the Anti-Christ. Plain and simple.
