    I know that for some, that is the motivation. Their faith sets them apart from their friends/loved ones and they think, "If I do this (not necessarily tattoos, you can fill in the blank) then they'll accept me." I agree wholeheartedly that's a sad sight to behold. I can't speak for anyone...
