    What Would You Do?

Two weeks ago, I'd have jumped right in. Now, I'd have to stop and pray about what I should do.

Can a Christian live without sinning?

I have, and yet I am a Christian. There are times when I sin willfully, and I'm fairly certain there will be times like that in the future.

Can a Christian live without sinning?

We are born into sin (Romans 5), so no, we cannot live a sin-free life. Jesus Christ became sin for us and so our sin (that is, Christians' sin) is not held against us, but we still pay the price of physical death (Romans 6), because that is the wage of sin.

psychology OR Christ? do you think...

There's mental health, and then there's bat crap crazy bull--oney. Hypnosis as a spiritual practice is a bad bad bad bad bad idea. Therapy has helped me to realize the truth about myself and others, while avoiding pitfalls of egotism or blaming others. My therapist has asked me where I want to...

    Christian Worship "Rockstars"

The so-called "Devil's Horns" were started by Dio and his fans, I believe. Many Christian rockers, having grown up around the symbol, use it. Where some use it as a sign of devotion to the Devil, many use it simply to say, "this rocks." That having been said, I know some Christians who use the...

    Christian Worship "Rockstars"

I like Tait better than Furler, but I'm still shy about embracing the Newsboys wholly. I did see the Grab Bag, and it's decently entertaining. I've never been overly impressed with MercyMe's talent, but their theology is solid, which gives them a gold star in my book. I wouldn't care if everyone...

    Christian Worship "Rockstars"

I love Skillet's sound (including the vocalist), but I'm afraid I have to agree about the theology. I like a few of their songs because I can relate, but a lot of their songs aren't solid. Great people, from when I talked to them at Heavenfest a few years ago, but the theology is something I do...

    Christian Worship "Rockstars"

I grew up on Steven Curtis Chapman, Oldies, and the Baptist Hymnal. It wasn't until I reached my teens that I found bands like DC Talk or Jars of Clay, and it wasn't until my twenties that I discovered bands like Skillet. I discovered bands like Theocracy in my late twenties. My introduction to...

    Dark Chocolate anyone?

I like dark chocolate, but lately my doctor's waved me off from it. She thinks I might have hyperthyroidism, and chocolate is apparently bad for me.

    Life As A Christian

Life as a Christian for me means I wake up with either racing thoughts or what I call "mental mud," where I can't find a thought to hold onto. Sometimes it's a mix. My feet hurt. My shoulders hurt. Sometimes I have accidents in bed because of my PTSD and/or spina bifida. Sometimes I'm drenched...

    Dieting

It's the fact that every time I eat, my stomach mistakes itself for a volcano and screams, "let me sing you the song of my people!"

    Dieting

I have been considering changing my diet to improve my stomach health. I've been eating less and less junk food lately, because my stomach simply won't accept it. I feel better about that. However, I still get sick, and I'm wondering if it is because of the food I eat. There's a part of me that...

    Your Dream Career

If you could do anything in the world at all, what would you do for a career? I would love to be a full-time author who is able to travel the world.

    What would you do?

I personally would abide by my wife's wishes, in that case, though I would talk with her about what that would mean specifically for us (potential financial troubles, stress, etc.), just so we were both on the same page in regard to the situation. In marriage, I believe it is important for...

    What Do You Read?

As an aspiring author working on my debut manuscript, I have been surprised by a trend I have noticed within the Church. This may not be the appropriate section of this forum to post this; I apologize if that is the case, but it seems appropriate, as it has to do with what people--specifically...

    Having Children

I feel if I were to adopt, I would not be a good father. Nothing like bringing a child into a home where manic psychosis and spina bifida mix.

    The Hot Seat

I tend to take showers, but I love either one. Wine, beer, liquor, or water?

    Having Children

Playing the Devil's Advocate, so to speak, I don't see anything in 1 Corinthians 7:8-9 that talks about children. It only talks about marriage.
