This is why this world is in the shape it is in today with so many religions claiming they are the true religion and only they will go to heaven and those who do not conform to their ways will go to hell.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Most of the time any discussion about God or any other topic turns into a discussion about definitions or language itself.
I was under the impression that you'd be a level higher then discussing language and since you're a bit confused about what i said, then it's best not to discuss it.

And yes I am orthodox like you and got my teaching in the Orthodox Church when I was a teenager and I also got baptized there.

Is salvation by faith alone or by works?​

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

God's salvation starts out by faith alone as the works follow after faith as we come obedient to His commands that are not hard to follow. The works we do are found in Matthew 25:31-46.

Protestantism didn't start until the 16th century. Luther posted his Ninety-Five Theses on the door of All Saints' Church in Wittenberg on October 31, 1517.
