To believe Adam never ate from the Tree of Life (even though he did not know its name) is a matter of interpretation of v22
No it isn't. Verse 22 is quite clear. There is no interpretation necessary. Why did God remove Adam and Eve from the Garden? Because they had already eaten of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and God wanted them removed before they also ate from the tree of life. No equivocation, no interpretation. Fact. Thank you.

It cannot be the case that one bite of the fruit from the Tree of Life would give one eternal life, else, since the forbidden tree is also the Tree of Life, they would have eternal life anyway, once they sinned. Or, what if Adam had already eaten from that tree allowed, then sinned. According to you, there was the chance Adam would be eternal even before, and certainly after, he sinned. What good was it then to drive him and bar him from the Garden?
