Bible Study Adams Fall

Do immortal souls have a tongue, and could a few drops of water help to cool the tongue of an immortal soul.
After physical death the soul no longer exist as it's the breath of God that made us a living soul.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Here dust + breath/spirit from God = a living soul. When the flesh dies physically it returns back to the dust of the ground and our spirit is preserved with God for final judgment.

Ecc 12:7 then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

We return to the dust of the ground when this physical body dies and our breath/spirit returns to God as we wait for Gods final judgment when Christ returns, John 5:28-29.

The soul which makes up the conscious part of ones being is that of thought, action and emotion. The spiritual nature of man regarded as immortal and separable from the body/flesh at death.
I assume that you are claiming that the Apostles saw the immortal souls of Moses and Elijah. I consider that they saw the resurrected bodies of Moses and Elijah, and the whole scene is depicting what will happen when Jesus returns. No immortal souls here.

Enoch, Moses, Abraham and Elijah were not taken up to the third Heaven as some teach as when they were seen (not Enoch or Abraham) of Peter, James and John in Matthew 17:1-9 it was only a transfiguration like a vision that they saw Jesus transfigured as was Moses and Elijah. There is no one in the third heaven except God, Jesus and the angels, John 3:13. Everyone that has ever died is asleep in their grave and when Christ returns they will hear His voice as He calls all of them to come forth. They that have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation, Matthew 24:29-31; John 5:28, 29; 6:40 It is only our spirit/breath that goes back to God who gave it, Genesis 2:7; Ecc 12:7.

This needs to be another thread as we are getting off topic. If you would like to start a thread on this tag me into it.

This is speaking about the resurrection of the faithful dead, those that are asleep, at the return of Jesus. They will be raised first, then those that are alive will be joined with them and with Christ. No immortal souls here.
Exactly as I have said when the physical dies the soul no longer exist.

John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
John 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

1Thess 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
1Thess 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1Thess 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Thess 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Thess 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1Thess 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Hey All,
I have a question.(This is a Bible study so I hope I am not breaking the rules here. So anybody is welcome to answer. If I am wrong, just delete the post.)

"There is no one in the third heaven except God, Jesus and the angels, John 3:13." Quote from for_his_glory

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Note Jesus is the only man that ascended, but (or because) he that came down from heaven. So Jesus is the only one who came down from up. There are still two unaccounted for who went from down to up. Where are Enoch and Elijah?
Keep walking everybody.
May God bless,
Taz

Hi Taz, This has to be another thread as it has nothing to do with the OP. If you want you can start a new thread here in Biblical Growth and Study asking your question about Elijah and Enoch as I would love to answer that for you. Just tag me into that thread.
