Look at the prices :eek2

McDonald's used to have an ad based on a meal with hamburger, fries, and shake, and change back from a dollar.

My first job was pumping gas, and yes...checking the oil and washing the windshields. Gas was $0.25 a gallon, and the most frequent order was "Put in a buck's worth."

I remember when McDonalds had "Over 1 Billion Served" on their sign at one time back in the late 80's. I wonder what that number is up to now?

The quality of McDonalds meat now is bad.I don't know what they use for meat but I can't eat it any more. And their prices have gone up considerably.

black Sabbath was in the 60's?led zep debuted in 69. the yard birds is a pre zep band with two of the four members. Santana played and recorded until as recently as the late 90s as far as I know.

Santana has released 5 more since the 90's, the most recent this year, Corazon. He's still doing concerts too I think. But I'd have to look. I sure like his music.

from wikipedia

the path way to the Tabernacle was a very wide concrete walk 30 feet maybe... and down hill... slinkys were fun the big boys would try and race them..cica 1950

:wave

Who walks the stair without a care
It shoots so high in the sky.
Bounce up and down just like a clown.
Everyone knows its Slinky.

The best present yet to give or get
The kids will all want to try.
The hit of the day when you're ready to play
Everyone knows it's Slinky.

It's Slinky, It’s Slinky
for fun it's the best of the toys
It's Slinky, It’s Slinky
the favorite of girls and boys.

I can remember back in 55 or 56 when it read, "1 Million Sold" (or served.... can't remember which) That would be an average of 100,000 a year since they opened.... five years before I was born.

They still have pretty good fries but they put so much salt on them.

Thanks Kathi and Gary

Over the years we sure have had the privilege of listening to major talent on those strings.
Chet Atkins, Roy Clarke, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, George Benson, and I'm sure I forgetting many.

Do you know why that is? Salt absorbs surface grease, and helps keep the fries crisper.
