America in the 60s

This was my first car. I bought it from an old man for $150 in 1962.

McDonald's salt.........
That makes sense.
My sister and her husband were McDonald's managers for years until they bought their own Firehouse Sub Store. She told me that if the fries are well salted within seconds of being dumped from the deep fryer, most of the salt will become saturated, and fall right off. But.... if they wait even ten or fifteen seconds to salt the fries, a lot of the salt tends to stick to the fries.

It was one of the few early cars that had a drop-down arm rest between the driver and passenger. It kind of made it feel like bucket seats.

One of my favorite fries I get from a burger place are the fresh cut fries. They cut the potato right there and they seem like they have no salt on them at all. They are harder to find.

I was a mere child in the 60's being born in 1954, but OH, the magic carpet ride through the 70's :thud

gah, but my town has plenty of buildings of that era. I can post some of the pics and or take some myself. if you all are interested. some are older. as airdancer knows I have driven the oldest way to my town both north and south and counted these buildings. easy to spot. a few diners from the era and mostly gas stations.

name the founder of mcdonalds. and the last name isn't the name of restaurant though those two are responsible for it but well let see if anyone knows.
